Additional info & updates

For many compelling reasons, I've decided to move back to San Diego for law school. I'm pretty sure I'll be going to USD, but I want to wait for my financial aid package from them (supposed to get grant/loan details in a few weeks/March) before I withdraw from Cal Western.

Good luck to those on the waitlist for the schools I withdrew from; I hope my spot goes to one of you!!

1/15/10: Rejected from UIUC via e-mail, similar to Boalt.

1/14/10: Rejected from Boalt via e-mail. No surprise here.

1/9/10: Received big white packet from USD, accepted in my home town! Should see scholarship information in a week or two.

1/7/10: Accepted at Fordham PT via e-mail. Now have options in one of the best places in the world...New York!! wOOt!

1/6/10: Status checker @ USD changed to DECISION RENDERED. Should see some mail in a few days!!

12/15/09: Deferred to regular pool at Hastings as of today. Better than an outright rejection, I guess. Still hurts. Oh well, guess there is an upside to no longer being in any sort of binding admission anywhere. Who knows where I'll go now...

12/12/09: Big white envelope from McGeorge, Dean's Scholly for $25k/year IF I stay in the top third. Tempting, if Hastings and Davis are a no-go...

12/09/09: "Decision Rendered" at U of P McGeorge, should see something in the mail soon.

11/27/09: First acceptance @ Santa Clara; a few pages in a big white envelope, nothing fancy. Application mailed on 11/24. Funny; it's a safety for me, but I really had no idea I would get this excited about my first acceptance. Not sure if anyone else had this happen with their first acceptance, but I squealed with delight when the thought first dawned on me; "I've just been accepted...to a law school!!" I felt an intense sense of accomplishment after all the hard work I've put into these apps/UG/re-taking the LSAT.

Hey! We're applying to a lot of the same schools too! Good Luck! No, I didn't recieve anything about scholarship money, but from what I've seen that letter usually comes a couple of week after the acceptance, unless you're a 170 or something... I'm hoping though...

Thanks

Thanks for the words of encouragement. I hope I can hit the 160's as well. I just want to be able to get into a decent school. Good luck on your application cycle. What's your top choice?
