02/06 - 8.5x11 thin envelope - Acceptance from Santa Clara. No scholarships mentioned.
02/20 - Standard-sized letter - Acceptance from Pepperdine. Dean's Scholarship for $27,000/year.
02/23 - The infamous green folder! - Acceptance from William and Mary and Graduate Fellowship offer (In-state tuition + 4k/yr stipend inexchange for working 8 hrs/week)

03/09 - Visited Hofstra. Hated it. Crappy facilities. Didn't like the area.
03/10 - Visited Cardozo. Loved it. Great building. Great location. Friendly people. I just don't think I can afford it. Housing is 1650 a month, whereas at W&M it's barely more than that for a semester!

03/13 - Got the packets from Cardozo and George Mason. Probably arrived earlier, but I haven't been around to get them (Spring Break). No scholarships were mentioned. The Dean of Admissions at Cardozo told me I'd probably be getting a merit scholarship offer in the next week or so.
03/20 - Scholarship offer from Cardozo.

03/28. I sent an e-mail to Vanderbilt yesterday, asking about the status of my application and got this response:
" Dear Seth,

Unfortunately, a decision has not been made on your file. I think it
will still be several weeks."

03/31 - 04/01 - ASW at W&M was awesome! Gonna be hard to beat.
04/25 - Cardozo upped their offer to $25K

WILLIAM and MARY, here I come!!!

05/05 - Vandy FINALLY Waitlists me. I'm set on W&M at this point anyway.

hey raguguy, you should check out chapman university law. it's in orange county, just south of LA. its pretty new, but moving up fast and with your scores they'd throw some money your way. plus, their film school is quickly becoming on of the best in the country. lots of entertainment law intererst at chapman, like all the LA law schools. good luck! -rhythmbomb

Good luck w/ IP, esp. Sports/Ent-- I'm looking at the same thing (obviously much different schools with my scores). I'm suprised youre not applying to USC. Rythmbomb was right about Chapman-- great up-in-coming school with lots of opportunity. If you're interested, I know a couple major safeties you may want to check out that are highly competitive in IP and would probably offer you $$...Anyway, good luck!

W&M and West Coast

Thanks for the feedback (I can use all the positive words I can get)! I don't know your familiarity w/ the west coast, but my family lives in SoCal, so if you ever need some info. let me know! USC may not be for you if you like school settings like W&M and Pepperdine. W&M, despite its limited avail. in Sports & Enter., would provide an amazing all-around legal education which would help no matter what area of law. Best of luck!
