Additional info & updates

UALR - Bowen Scholarship-full ride

2/2 - updated transcript with fall #'s, up from 3.96 to 3.97 - Woopie!

2/15 - UofA sent an unsolicited letter increasing the scholarship offer to $10k per year. Since I am in-state this makes it full ride +.

4/16- Acceptance from Arizona (finally). $14k + $10k + $10k. Pretty standard. They took too long, though, for me to give them serious consideration anymore.

4-18 - Indiana back in the game. Got a call offering a huge increase in the $$. I have until May 1 to decide.
3/19 - full tuition to Colorado for three years with a 3.0. Full tuition first year and resident full tuition 2&3 (easy residency change).also preferred wl at G'town.
4/12-The cycle is about over, so I'll get more specific with my LSAT #'s

on all your acceptances. We have very similar numbers. Have you heard anything from PSU-DSL in regards to a scholarship?

I'm wondering the same thing...

You know, I've been wondering that too. I figured the fact that I went to an open house and called to check on the status of my application would show my interest in them, but who knows, maybe that's not enough. They are my top choice, so I really hope I get a good scholarship offer. Have you considered calling them and maybe thanking them for your acceptance and reiterating that you really want to go there? I know it sounds kind of like begging, which is why I've been hesitant to do it, but I REALLY need some money to make it possible to go there.

Yeah...

I see what you mean. That is a tough one. I'd be happy to tell you some more about Carlisle schools. I work in college admissions and know a lot about the schools in the area. Right off the bat, I'd say stay away from Big Spring and South Middleton (Boiling Springs) school districts. Carlisle and Cumberland Valley districts have great schools.

Congrats!

Congratulations! That's a great offer. I hope I get the same!

Ugh...

Well, I got my scholarship offer today, and I'm afraid it's not as generous as yours. They only offered be $10,000 a year. I'm planning to appeal.

You should list your scholarship offer as $60,000 for consistency's sake :-) Looks like you got the largest one on here so far!

Yay!

I talked to City Council. The humidity has been turned down this week. Unfortunately, this has caused pollen/allergen levels to go through the roof. >:-( Hehe...

$8,000 a year. Not enough to get to me stay I guess. What do you think?

Palestine

I saw your post on another user's page saying you graduated from Palestine Westwood. Mind if I ask what year? I went to Westwood Jr. High, but moved before starting high school.

I went to Westwood for 7th and 8th grade. I believe 7th was 86-87 and 8th was 87-88. My dad built Trinity Valley Hosp., so we moved after that. Maybe you were in 9th when I was in 7th? If so, you would have known my older brother. He was a freshman that year.

Disregard the previous. I see now that you meant you graduated in 84!

Congrats on all your acceptances. Where are you planning to go? I am kinda curious, how did you hear from Berkeley, I thought they start taking from waitlist in like June.

Hey -- when did GULC notify you of your acceptance off the waitlist? Congrats on CU, and good luck in the fall!

On the free ride to CU and going there. I got the same deal and couldn't pass it up. We better be quiet about it though, I heard sniping by those who don't get that kind of scholarship can be annoying.
