05-30-07: Law school starts in 3 months . . .

04-25-07 pt.2: Late-night waitlist at YLS via e-mail. I guess I'm staying on it. Why can't my cycle just end?!

04-25-07: Withdrew from CLS . . . goodbye, $$$.

04-23-07: Depositing at HLS!

04-19-07: 'No Decision' at YLS as of my call today . . . did not get the second e-mail.

04-02-07: Withdrew from Chicago and UVA. Keeping the rest 'til the bitter end.

03-31-07: Received Dean's Scholarship at UVA: $63,000/3 years.

03-26-07: Received scholarship info from Chicago. Also got the cryptic yale e-mail.

03-22-07: Withdrew from NYU, Penn, Northwestern, and Duke via mail.

03-20-07: I'm back from HLS ASW. 99 percent sold.

03-02-07: Offered a Levy Scholarship at Penn! Full tuition for first year, 1/2 for second and third plus other goodies.

02-26-07: Officially in at Chicago! Got my admissions binder today. Also, processed Fafsa and Need Access yesterday (fun fun).

02-22-07: Voicemail from Chicago asking me to call back for "good news about my application." I'll assume its an acceptance!

02-15-07: Invited to apply for Levy Scholarship at Penn via e-mail.

02-08-07: In at Penn! Huge portfolio with letter from Dean Post (I did not write "why Penn"). Also rec'd Columbia's NYC guide. Also, withdrew from Gtown, Michigan, and Vandy.

02-02-07: First ding: Stanford via mail. Not too crushed, considering I would have taken HLS or CLSw/Hamilton over SLS. Also notified of potential Dean's Scholarship at Gtown.

01-29-07: Offered a one-year deferred admission at Northwestern w/ $$$ due to lack of work exp. I did not interview. I will withdraw soon.

01-27-07: In at Columbia with a Hamilton! Things just got interesting.

01-22-07: Schools will now see my updated GPA (vs. 3.81 before) and transcript. Also, In at UVA! Letter from Dean Trujillo with mention of merit scholarship sent to my permanent address.

01-19-07: Status checker went 'decision' at UVA. Also, notified of Dean's Scholarship at Michigan yesterday.

01-16-07: Got a letter from Cornell requesting an interview. I withdrew instead.

01-15-07: In at NYU! Just got the packet today (dated 12/20) - thanks mail services!

01-09-07: Got back to campus and found: my admissions packet from Michigan, admissions letter from Vandy, and my HLS binder!

01-05-07: Status checker went 'decision' at Michigan, despite their temporary freeze. I guess I'll see if its good when I get to check my campus box next week.

01-03-07: Happy new year! Complete at Yale via e-mail.

12-23-06: In at Georgetown! Acceptance dated 12/15 sent to my perm. address w/ handwritten note from Dean Cornblatt (I was not EA).

12-14-06: Complete at Stanford; also: status checker went 'decision' at Gtown . . . too bad I can't check my campus box until January to find out what it is. Oh, and I'm still in shock from . . .

12-12-06: Got the 2nd call from Stock - In at HLS!!!

12-07-06: Big day! In at Duke (large package with letter from Dean Hoye), talked to Dean Stock, and went complete at NWestern!

12-04-06: Complete at Michigan and Duke (priority track).

12-01-06: Got the Toby Stock phone call e-mail from HLS . . .

11-29-06: Complete at Gtown today and UVA Monday . . . keep 'em coming!!!

11-26-06: Sent in Cornell via snail mail . . . decided to use their waiver after all.

11-21-06: Sent in NYU and Vandy sans waivers.

11-20-06: LOR #2 finally in! Also, decided to apply to Northwestern at the last minute after an e-mail reminder about their Dec. 15 EA deadline and a waiver.

11-11-06: Still waiting on LSAC to process my lor's. Also holding out for NYU or Vandy waivers.

Other waivers I'm not using: Texas-Austin, UCLA, WUSTL, USC, Emory, Iowa, Washington and Lee, W&M, Illinois, Indiana, USD, Baylor, Northeastern . . .

i was looking at the gpa and lsat and trying to figure out how you were already rocking the harvard phone call...then i saw the multi-score. congrats! no school in their right mind is going to average the two.

I still haven't heard from HLS yet, but the fact that you've gotten in gives me hope... :) I'm probably leaning towards Vandy or Columbia right now. Good luck on making the decision!

HOORAY for all your AWESOME acceptances!!!! i know you must get this A LOT, but can you post what your study habits were to get you that GIANT lsat jump?! was the 163 just from a really off day?! i ask b/c i'm thinking about retaking b/c i don't feel like i studied enough for the lsat. i might redo the cycle... any help appreciated!! :)
