Additional info & updates

I am a non-traditional applicant. Age 36, mother with strong recommendations and PS, community work and life experience. I interview extremely well and make personal contact at all schools to which it is feasible.

*All received dates are dates report requests were received.

02-27-08: First acceptance and with money! Loyola. My daughter read the letter to me over the phone -- road trip, but I am pleased.

03-03-08: Phone call acceptance from SIU. No mention of money.

03-20-08: Letter from Baylor. Waitlisted for Summer '08. *Accepted for Spring '09.* Baylor is my number one choice, really. I am all over their Practice Court, 3rd year.

03-24-08: Email from UIUC. I was honestly expecting an out-and-out rejection. Kind of an honor really, to not be. :) UIUC is my second choice and would be first if I weren't in love with Baylor.

05-07-08: I just want Baylor. I was accepted for Spring '09 with my waitlisted application for Summer '08. That's what I've decided to accept.

08-11-08: Accepted at UIUC. (letter came on 07-11-08, but it took me a while to decide if I wanted to move from TX back to IL. Bummer on the move, but thrilled with this acceptance!

With UIUC! I hope we both get in! I am a non-trad as well having been out of school for a few years and doing some overseas "protect the world" type stuff. Keep me informed and I WISH YOU THE BEST! I commend you for applying so far removed!

Thank you

My husband was USAF for six years -- thanks for your service. I have to say that I hate having no interviews; I sell well. ;) Best wishes to you as well.

I hear ya!

I hear you on that one! I love interviews and I usually do so well with them! However, due to the fact that I have applied from over here in Afghanistan, interviews would have been very difficult to do! GOOD LUCK!
