-11/26 Went complete at Miami and was accepted next day! No word on scholarship, sadly not expecting any.
-12/09 Accepted at WVU! Scholarship info comes by snail mail with the official acceptance (arriving 1-2 weeks later) or possibly even later, so still waiting on that.
-12/16 Received scholarship from WVU via snail mail. PUMPED
-12/20 got my acceptance email from Stetson with scholarship!! WOO!
-1/07 Accepted at Univ. of SC via email! Waiting on scholarship information in snail mail. Fingers crossed!
-1/10 Received UofSC's snail mail and got their Out of State + scholarship tuition rate + $500 more off/year, which ends up being right around $70,000! :-) THRILLED
-2/3 Went from $45,000 to $49,500 of scholarship from Stetson! Woooooo!
-2/20 Was put on committee hold at UGA
-2/23 Denied scholarship reconsideration from Miami :-( oh well! It was worth a shot.
-2/27 Waitlisted at American
-3/9 Sent LOCI to UGA
-3/20 Waitlisted at UGA

You know to negotiate scholarships?

You submitted early, this gives you the opportunity to play schools off each others scholarship offers. Even if youre happy with the offers youre getting, ask for more, there is no downside unless youre an ass about it. Dont sit with what you get, youve got until April to make them all sweat about beating each others offers. Tell them something to the effect of i love your school, im honored by what you have already given me, but im having difficulty justifying the cost, here are what other schools are offering me - can you help me any more? If you cant help me at this time, is there a chance if i hold out until right before seat deposit time that you might be able to help then? The worst you will get is a no, unless you are somehow being rude about it, its common practice, they expect it.
