01/19/2007 Received Interview Request from Cornell

Cornell interview went well -- We talked about my personal background and interests and what Cornell in particular has to offer its law students.

02/07/2007 Received a phone call from the admissions office at The University of Minnesota informing me that my application has been reviewed and that I have been accepted

02/08/2007 - Received e-mail from Washington and Lee University informing me that I have been accepted. Also received e-mail from Toby Stock at Harvard stating that he would like to interview me.

02/12/2007 - Received letter asking if I wish to remain in Columbia's "Reserve" group to be potentially admitted between June and August. I assume this is a Waitlist.

02/12/2007 - Received an e-mail from Pennsylvania informing me that they have decided to "Hold" my application for a decision at a later date (they estimated April).

02/15/2007 - Received a phone call from Pennsylvania informing me that I have been accepted. Who knows why I was deferred for two days before being admitted.

02/15/2007 - Phone interview with Toby Stock. He asked some basic questions about the information in my application and about my particular interests.

02/21/2007 - Phone call from Boston University admitting me to class of 2010.

03/08/2007 - Received free USB flash drive in mail from Duke

03/19/2007 - Received waitlist e-mail from Michigan. I'm surprised given my numbers. Perhaps it's because I didn't write the "why Michigan" essay.

04/10/2007 - Dean's Scholarship from Penn -- $36,000. I'm not very impressed given that Virginia and Duke offered almost twice that and their tuition and living expenses are lower.

05/02/2007 - E-mail from Chicago asking about my continued interest in attending. It seems as if I might have been admitted, but Chicago is not near a vet school for Lauren and so I responded saying I'm no longer interested.

05/15/2007 - For some reason NYU accepted me from their waitlist even though I withdrew my application almost a month ago. I received an acceptance packet by overnight mail. Flattering, but unfortunately it's not near a vet school for Lauren.

05/18/2007 - E-mail from Toby Stock asking if I'm still interested in Harvard and when I will be available for another phone interview. I responded right away but missed his call later in the day.

05/21/2007 - Spoke with Toby Stock on phone. He simply asked if I had placed a deposit or accepted a binding scholarship anywhere and if I am still interested in Harvard.

06/04/2007 - Phone call from Toby Stock -- he asked again if I was interested in attending and upon receiving an affirmative response offered me admission.

06/06/2007 - Withdrew from Columbia -- I stayed on the waitlist mostly out of curiosity so I figured with the Harvard acceptance I might as well stop wasting their time.

06/08/2007 - Columbia WL dismissal in mail today. I guess they mailed it out before they received my withdrawal e-mail. Rejection always hurts but it wasn't really a top choice of mine anyway.

The Penn deferral was probably a mistake if they accepted you two days later. Congrats on that and all your other acceptances so far!

I think you are right about Boston. I have a friend who got an acceptance there a month ago with a lower LSAT and GPA than me.

Congrats on Penn!

Did you send in additional materials after being waitlisted?

yeah, the wait has been killing me, but if you look on harvard's lsn page, you can see that no one has heard anything from them this week. i know they had a snow day or two last week, so maybe they're just running behind. i won't start feeling terrible about the situation until they make acceptance calls and i'm not one of them. for now i'm just waiting...let me know if you hear anything, though

Same result at Michigan. I was also surprised. I definitely didn't go the extra mile though.

I dont go to SHU -- I'm still holding out hope for Harvard, but it's getting slimmer by the day. I had an interview a month or so ago but haven't heard back since. Other than that I'm still waiting to see what UPenn's scholarship offer looks like.
