Additional info & updates

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times... My cycle is over, and I'm looking forward to spending the next three years at the University of Oregon!

If I had some of advice for people who are on outskirts of the applicant pool, it would be to apply early, apply broadly and remain patient.... The worst thing that can happen is they say 'no'..... and a lot of them did.

Best of luck!

Congrats on UOP McGeorge

Congratulations on getting into UOP. I have somewhat similar numbers to you and have taken a similar approach in attacking this cycle as well. I recently got my acceptance to UOP, also with 10k and 1st year books. I'm probably going to attend, even though UOP is the first school I'm hearing from. I was wondering however, do you plan to try to negotiate with them at all?

Yeah, Im definitely going to negotiate- there are a bunch of people who have received more $$$ than us (and weren't knock-outs in terms of numbers) so I think the money is there. I'm just waiting to hear back from other schools so I have a point of reference. I think UOP is a great option, but I would really like to see the price come down a bit before I make the leap.

Definitely. Do you see yourself attending UOP even if they don't offer you more money (assuming UOP is the only viable option)? Because frankly, when I received my acceptance packet, I had completely forgotten where UOP was even ranked. I was hoping for a third tier like Southwestern and praying for Chapman, so when I realized that my first reply back in the cycle was an acceptance from a second tier in CA with scholly, etc., I was/am stoked. How do you feel about UOP?

what the heck is USD doing this cycle... i feel like we should have at least been waitlisted. i'm pretty bitter haha, did you apply FT or PT? i'm thinking about reapplying next year, idk though.. retaking june, ahhh

USD again

i can't believe you got rejected after applying to USD twice! shoot, so there are no guarantees w/ them... really hoping to get into a school this cycle so i don't have to bank on USD. i wonder if they auto-ding? felt like i didn't even get a chance! anyway, did you retake the LSAT or change anything w/ your app when you applied for the 2nd time?

good luck

thanks for your advice, i think at this point i will retake for a few points. i think i can, it's just hard to do while working full-time, but it's possible! good luck to you, i really wish you the best, where do you think you will end up going? and will you ride out any waitlists?
