I can't believe you were rejected from Minnesota! They must be getting really full of themselves. But, it can't matter much given your stellar acceptances. Congratulations!

I am pissed at Minnesota, quite frankly. They sent me into a panic when I got the rejection since they were my safety school and that was the first response that I received.

Congrats on your acceptances! 60k at Emory is sweet, when (and how) did you find out about the scholarship offer?

Scholarship

Thanks. I got the letter yesterday (03/03/05) in a standard size envelope thorugh snail mail. It is a scholarship that is for GA residents only I think (Georgia Scholar of Emory University School of Law). It is weird because I actually forgot to fill out the financial aid application... It puts a lot of pressure, though; because my top choice, really, is GWU. But with my mother whining that I should move back to GA (I am in Jersey this year) and my father constantly reminding me of the money issue... I dunno. No $$$ offer from GWU yet.

Sorry to remind you, but I am pretty shocked you didn't get into Minnesota, too. I'm a MN resident, and sent in my application 3 months ago, but it just went complete on 2/16. I'm in at GW, too, and haven't heard about money. Congrats on Emory!

Fordham a basement

So you visited Fordham and didn't like it? Just wondering.

Fordham the Piss Hole

While I would certainly not issue a blanket statement saying that I didn't like Fordham, I do have to disclose that their facilities are, indeed, crap. The whole place does feel like the basement of a law school rather than an actual law school. On the positive side, the students there seemed friendly. Didn't give me the feel that it could ever have applied to it the "competitive law school" label that so many schools are anxious to swear off. In sum: Fordham is a place of great, friendly people studying in a dank, rancid piss hole.

GWU?

Going to GWU?

Going?

Going when? The reception or for the next three years? The answer to the former would be a yes and the latter a probable yes. See you there?

Re: Fordham vs GT

Hey, also visited Fordham, didn't get to go in the law school but liked the library and you're right about the people, they were awesome. As for GT I'm just really not a fan of DC or the area around GT. I guess I'm think of it as I may live where i go to school for years and DC isn't where I want to be. On another note, I'm so jealous you got so much money at Fordham! Bastards arent giving me a dime, not even loans. So, Im going to go check out Boston U. Are you going to GWU?
