Congratulations on you GWU acceptance. Are you planning to attend the admitted students weekend in April? Minnesota over GWU huh? Despite their recent rankings boost, I sitll feel like Minn are still just wannabes. Though I may only be of that opinion because the bastards rejected me. Good luck there and at Harvard anyway.

Hey, if you haven't heard from MN yet, you should call them. Their preview weekend starts 3/11/05, and they might be willing to release the decision early if you express some interest in attending the preview. I just got a weird acceptance e-mail from them. Good luck!

In response to your question: it was the "we don't usually send emails" email. I'm sure you'll get in. If you do get in this week and get to go to their preview weekend, let me know how it was!

Too bad they weren't able to let you know anything over the phone. But you're application was only recently completed. If my experience is any indication, it's bound to take a little while. You're sure to get in - it's just a waiting game.

have you seen the GWU admitted student discussion boards? GWU vs MN is the hot topic... I never knew MN had so many people! I visited Twin Cities once; I loved the area. It was summertime, though! Either way you go, enjoy!

Thanks

for the encouragement. I was wondering who left the anonymous post. Congrats on GW and Wisconsin. Man, I'm starting to feel a bit discouraged. I'm not officially rejected from GW, but I'm assuming from what they said when I called today that that's the case. Good luck with Minnesota. You sending any additional material?

I would go to UCLA over Minnesota, too. I would like to stay in the DC area because my fiance is going to GW for gread school but if that's not possible then I'd like to go back to my native So Cal. In fact, I'm pretty jazzed about my Hastings acceptance.

Told you so

Congrats on Minnesota, and congrats on the end of your admissions cycle! Now, you just have to decide. That must feel nice. Which way are you leaning?

Thanks for your post. I think you're making the right choice in taking MN over GW. I'm getting more excited about MN myself, although a positive response from Northwestern would change everything. I plan to visit MN sometime this month, have you been? If so, what were your impressions?
