Congratulations on your nice scholarship from WM! Yeah, I'm not as antsy about Emory as I probably should be. They're the highest ranked program to which I applied, but I went there for undergrad and having graduated almost 4 years ago, the thought of returning for law school feels slightly creepy. You know... Same place, entirely different campus of people... But I couldn't NOT apply there b/c I know what a great program it is. If I get in, I'll have to seriously consider. I feel confident that you'll be successful there, though. Best of luck and let me know how you do!

Consider it a testament to their inherent pompousness. I couldn't help but read a snide tone even in their "we received your application emails." It was very "don't call us, we'll call you..." But then again, having gone there already, the tone I read into most of their stuff could either be more accurate b/c of my real-life experience, or less so b/c I'm biased or slightly bitter. WM is an awesome school and you got great money there... I would totally go for that if I were you. And VA really isn't very cold... It has 4 distinct seasons, so you get a little of everything. Good luck, though... I still think you'll get into Emory, no problem.

Well I finally got MY Emory decision today and it was a waitlist. Haha... I'm kind of glad b/c I didn't want anybody distracting me from Kent. But I'm still rather insulted since it's my alma mater. Oh well... I'll live. I hope you get in though!

Haha... Don't worry, I'm not down about it. I really really didn't want to go there anyway, so it's fine. It's just the whole alma mater thing that's annoying. Anyhow... I visited Kent this weekend and have 10,000% made my decision that I'm going there! Chicago was amazing and the school was very impressive. I'm very relieved to have that out of the way. Anyway... Good luck to you and I wish you the very best!
