I am really sorry about Albany. Right now that is my 1st choice and am still waiting to hear. I am still waiting on all of mine, except I got in to Ave Maria, I dont really want to go there but at least its somehting and not Cooley, lol. Hang in there :)
Hey I have to be honest with you; there are alot of things going against your application right now. One is your LSAT and the second is that you are applying so late. I got a 147 the first time I took it and then took a Kaplan course. It made things alot clearer and I was able to raise my score to a 155. I was able to get a need based waiver which cut the cost in half. You may be better off taking a year off to take a class, raise your score on the June test, and then apply in September that way you would have a much better chance of getting in to Buffalo. I understand everybodies circumstances are different and either way I wish you the best of luck!
Good luck on Case! They recently denied me even though my dad went there and donates a couple thousand a year. It seems being a white female is a disadvantage. Akron dinged me as well :( Let me know what happens with Dayton! I am applying there as well and who knows we might end up at the same school! I too took a Kaplan class but it only helped me increase by one point. So in all honesty I wouldn't recommend taking it since I paid $1,300.00 to increase by a point. If you ever need to vent, feel free to send me a message!
No I can understand you not wanting to take the exam again. My point is simply to not be afraid to not settle if you cannot get into the schools you want this cycle. Alot of times just applying early helps your chances and by waiting another cycle and trying to ramp up your resume (volunteering, work experience, internships, etc) may be able to give you the edge that will let a school not place as much emphasis on your LSAT.
Good for you and your tough skin! I'm impressed!
I started to get nervous that I'd end up in FL so I also added Widener. Where in NY are you from?
Congrats on the waitlist!
Thanks...good luck to you too. I got waitlisted at a couple schools closer to home so right now I'm headed to CASE. Make sure that you write a letter of continued interest I hear it helps when you have been waitlisted.
I figured OSU would provide me with a reject letter almost immediately too but I haven't heard anything and its been 6 weeks. I wonder why that is..?
Hey, sorry to hear about Syracuse, I had been rooting for you. Did you get accepted to the regular Widener program? That answer that was pretty fast, right? I recently applied there as well. Good luck again to you!
...that in addition to Syracuse, Case Western tuition is over $40,000 a year too. I've read that Case is your first choice, so I thought I'd share that with you.
I'm from the same area and am hoping for some of the schools. I have a bad LSAT score as well, although I am still waiting on my February score and praying its better. I know it seems like a long shot but I wish you the best! I have a Masters and so many other great qualities, its just the damn lsat holding us back! :(
