Additional info & updates

Ex-NYC Teaching Fellow, current paralegal. Alumna of an excellent liberal arts college.

1/28/09 - Washington & Lee acceptance. Hooray, I'm going to law school!

2/25/09 - Got a nice letter from G-town saying that I'm accepted! :D

3/3/09 - Dean of Admissions from Cardozo calls to tell me I am accepted with full tuition! How nice of them!

3/9/09 - Big purple envelope from NYU ...SO HAPPY! :D :D :D I really don't care about the rest of the decisions at this point. Time to write some "thanks, but no thanks" letters.

3/17/09 - Accepted at Fordham. It's so strange that 6 months ago, I was praying I would get into Fordham, thinking "T-14" would never happen for me...what a wild ride this has been.

TAKE THE LSAT SERIOUSLY, KIDS. I'm a great example of how well things can go for you if you really hunker down.

3/19/09 - Another cautionary tale: U of Michigan sent me loads of materials and invitations to apply, a fee waiver, and a handwritten note indicating that they love to "get" people from my alma mater. As you can see, it's not a guarantee. At least not when it comes from them.

3/24/09 - AU = WTF??

4/14/09 - The official Harvard rejection, via email.

With that LSAT score, you should have no problem being accepted to T-14 schools, and I'm sure to at least some of the T-5. Good Luck with the rest of your cycle!

sorry to hear about penn and michigan. i'm really surprised you were straight rejected at both.

you're right, same stats and pretty much same cycle. you've been on my watch list. I'd imagine I'm most likely headed to NYU, but I'm not committing yet. I'm withdrawing from all other schools except Georgetown, Penn, and Columbia. The one thing that's still up in the air for me is that I'm trying to get a JD/MBA (im taking the gmats in about a week), and I want to make sure the school that I'm heading to makes it accessible for 1 or 2L's to move into their JDMBA program. how bout you? where do you think you're gonna end up?
