Weird. Why the hostility?

I have the same numbers as you, and unsurprisingly, we had very similar results! Congrats on your acceptances! Where do you think you'll be headed in the fall?

Answering your question about why I picked NYU over Columbia - Although the Columbia offer is significantly bigger, the actual difference in my final debt after 3 years of school would only be a few thousand dollars (partly due to Columbia's slightly higher tuition and partly due to what my specific housing situation would be at one vs. the other). I felt like NYU was a better fit for me for various reasons, and when I'm gonna be taking out so much money in student loans either way, I think it's worth it to take out a few thousand more in order to go with the better fit!
