10/26: Applied to Michigan, GW, Georgia, U. of Tex, Ohio State, Washington Univ St. Louis, Minn, and Virginia

10/27: Applied to Northwestern. Put together 4 additional essays. Hoping to complete Cornell, Georgetown, U. of Chicago, Berkeley .

10/28: Applied to Berkeley last night. Applied to Georgetown and U. of Chicago.
10/29: Applied to Cornell. Vanderbilt Interview
11/01: Fee waiver at Penn. Applied.
11/02: Applied to Harvard.
11/04: Northwestern Interview
11/04: Applied to UCLA and Southwestern
11/09: UCLA Law Tour

11/13: Lucky Friday the 13th! Voicemail from one of the Deans of UT. Hook'em Horns! I'm in!

11/23: Just got Vandy's acceptance (big box package) in the mail. Conducted interview with Vandy alumni in late Oct. and would highly recommend it.

12/3: Received an email from Moritz (Ohio State) notifying me of acceptance.

12/8: Conducted interview with Georgetown Alumnus.

12/10: Accepted at Minn. $20K per year scholarship.

12/16: Dinged at Virginia. 1st decline. Tough week so far. Declined at the final stage while pursuing my dream job. You win some, you lose some ... and hopefully you lose fewer. Lawschoolpredictor.com concluded that I was going to have difficulty w/ UVA. Spot on!

12/18: Ending week on a high note. Accepted at Illinois with $30K scholarship.

12/18: Put on hold at Cornell.

12/21: Rejection letter from Penn. What a lump of coal in my holiday stocking! Still looking for 1st T-14 acceptance.

12/26: Acceptance letter from Georgetown. 1st T-14!

1/9: No love from Cali. Received UCLA rejection today.

1/14: Boo-yah! Univ of Chicago acceptance. Nice call. Although I was rejected from UVA, Penn, and UCLA, acceptance to Univ of Chi proves competitive T-20 students should apply to several different schools. Probably helped that I'm a Finance/Econ Nut. Each school has different hot buttons so apply to several.

1/16: Rejected at Harvard and Michigan.

1/20: Accepted at Southwestern.

1/26: Waitlisted at George Washington. A bit of a shock since I was accepted at Georgetown last month.

1/27: Rejected at Berkeley. Still no love from Cali! I moved out here 10 years ago from NJ for great opportunity. My career was flying on the East Coast. All I got was a dotcom bust, subprime bust, a couple layoffs, and rejections from their law schools. Cali's extreme cost of living resulted in tough decisions that went against me. Just not meant to be. Ending the cycle on some sour notes. Still waiting on Duke and Northwestern. So thankful for the many acceptances I did receive.

2/5: Waitlisted for Northwestern's Accelerated JD Program.

2/10: Waitlisted at Duke. I'm starting to see a pattern here. Waiting on financial aid and scholarship info from other schools but planning on U. Chicago.

3/1: Great day today! Awarded $12K per year from Ohio State and $18K per year from Vandy. As expected, received notification last week that I received no scholy $ or need based aid from Univ of Chicago.

3/31: Rejected at Northwestern and admitted to Emory. No scholarship $$ at Emory so will most likely withdraw.

4/1: Sent commitment letter to Univ of Chicago. Withdrawing from other schools.

I hope that I have as good a cycle as yours. (Similar numbers and Latino.) Good luck!

Great cycle so far, and sorry about Berkeley and UCLA. Makes me wonder though. If you couldn't get in with everything that you have to offer, fuck, what chance do I have. lol But good luck to wherever you end up.
