Additional info & updates

12/5/08 - Updated preferences today. A little more realistic this time. Anyone getting responses from schools yet? The past few months have gone by so fast yet so slow as I have transitioned into the waiting process.

1/23/09 - As I opened my mailbox this morning to a regular sized envelope from Michigan State my heart dropped. Attempting to prepare myself for rejection as I opened the letter, I found that I had been waitlisted. Ironically, my feelings are similar to the waitlists proportion of being in between accepted and rejected. I'm excited because I didn't get rejected and yet sad because I didn't get accepted. Ultimately I would love to attend MSU and hope still exists so I'm content.

1/28/09 - I got my first acceptance today!! Born and raised in upstate New York and an avid Syracuse basketball fan I was extatic to find a package from Syracuse Law at my door today. Long anticapted, I recieved a Syracuse Law t-shirt in which made my day. Not to mention they also have a great environmental program at Syracuse (SUNY ESF).

1/29/09 - Today the positive news came to an end as I recieved a small envelope from Case Western informing me that I had been rejected.

1/30/09 - After recieving another rejection today from Penn State, I am glad I started this process off on a positive note. However, I am curious to know if I was considered for the part time program. I have called the admissions office three times now and have gotten an answering machine every time. If this is any indication of how the admin. offices are at Penn State, this rejection may be a blessing after all.

2/19/09 - I am excited about the opportunity to attend a good school in Cleveland State that has invested in making the school better with new additions to the facade as well as added classrooms and technology. However, I am still praying for an acceptance at the University at Buffalo. I am ready to put an end to this process and an acceptance at UB would do just that.

3/23/09 - After a month from the last time the mailman delivered all important news of my future, she once again delivered a small, flimsy white envelope from the University of Colardo. As I expected after seeing the envelope, it informed me with very few words that I had been rejected.

3/24/09 - As it turns out, the only whirlwinds produced by this experience of applying to law school has come down to the first school I applied to, the last school I have yet to hear from, and the school I most desire to attend. Lord, it is only because of you that I have come this far and which ever direction you provide the rain, I have prepared my fields.

3/27/09 - After waiting 4 and half months for a decision from Buffalo, they finally told me over the phone that I had been rejected. As a result, I am happy to fulfill my seat deposit at Cleveland-Marshall and cannot wait to begin studying in one of the top 25 Law libraries in the country. Additionally, after studying from sun up to sun down working out in the the brand new state of the art fitness complex will be a great place to relieve all of the accrued stress from the day. Finally, as my cycle comes to a halt, you can't beat state school tuition in one of the top ten best legal markets in the country.

4/14/09 - Dear Anonymous who asked the Syracuse question, my deadline was April 15th. They did say that you can request an extension if needed.

4/29/09 - I got a very nice phone call today from the admissions office of Michigan State. She informed me that I had been accepted and that I should recieve a packet by early next week. Not really sure yet how this will affect or not affect my decision to attend C-M.

6/1/09 - Got an email confirming my second seat deposit today. When I began this process, the thought of studying the law at Cleveland-Marshall never really crossed my mind. After researching and visiting the school, however, I feel that C-M will provide me with the challenges and opportunities I desire in a Law school. Ultimately, I am eager to begin the law school experience, meet new people, and enjoy the offerings of a new city.

8/11/09 - I have been in Cleveland now for a few days and have been surprised by the city and Cleveland State University more and more each day. The campus looks much different than when I first visited in the spring. The new Student Union building is no longer steel beams and rather has begun taking shape as the outer shell is almost complete. I have also heard that the school is expanding to the other side of the soccar fields to provide more on campus living choices. I am very happy with my choice to attend Cleveland Marshall, excited for classes to begin on Monday, and to watch the school continue to grow.

Looking at you dates, I have not been waiting as long as you have but I am wondering if you have contacted them and if so what there response was. I guess I am just getting a little nervous.

I'm still in the position you were in about a month ago, awaiting a decision from UBuffalo before completely accepting my offer from C/M. I did send a seat deposit to C/M though (I'm 90% sure I'll go, even if I get acceptances from the schools I haven't heard from yet). Who's the motocross rider you were a mechanic for? Are you a rider?
