Additional info & updates

Acceptances:

Dayton: Phone call, then large envelope sent to school address

St. Thomas: Large envelope at home address

Hamline: Recieved admitted student day change email and called the admissions office to confirm, information was mailed on date listed

Widener: Status checker, at Delaware campus by choice

Deferred:

Indianapolis: Small letter saying that my early decision application is going to be re-reviewed as regular admission

Waitlisted:

MSU: Contacted admissions office, recieved email saying I have been added to waitlist, filled out online response withdrawing because I would probably got to either Hamline or St. Thomas over MSU and want to start wrapping this cycle up

SLU: Small envelope, probably not going to respond and let name be withdrawn

Cleveland Marshall: Small envelope, held on to see the outcome because of the low tuition, sent in response to not be on waitlist

Rejections:

Drake: A little surprised, but don't really care, who actually wants to be in Iowa

Final Decison:

St Thomas: Visited the school on the ASD and loved it. The building and location are great, I think the school has the power to move up in rankings, I like the program, and the faculty. I feel welcome at UST and am excited to go there next fall

Hey, I notice we have similar #s. Just wondering how Creighton and Dayton sent you fee waivers; snail mail or email? Good luck with your apps!

Just wanted to say hi, so you could see I'm on here.

I'm watching you

Good Luck with this cycle!

Yeah, I might send out three or four this week. I'm not sending out the rest until I get my score back

FCSL

That is exactly why I applied there...I felt like I just really needed a safety! You should apply..they waive the fee, so it's really just the cost of your LSDAS report.

SLU
Saturday, October 11 2008 at 08:00 PM

A fees section didn't come up on my status checker until after my status went to decision made, letter to follow...but i would figure maybe that's a good sign that it says that? i don't know. since you have to pay seat deposits, i don't know why that would pop up unless you were accepted. best of luck with your cycle! maybe i'll see you at slu...

Good Luck

on your schools! Oh and I noticed a fee section on all of my status checkers (Temple, Denver, UNLV) which makes me wonder...especially since I thought Temple would reject me. Who knows what it's for.

Understandable

I'm the same. I saw the fee thing and immediately thought - omgosh, does that mean I'm in?! but then I saw it on Temple's site...

Fee Section

I noticed you mention a Fees Section on the Status Checker for SLU. Can you explain that to me? Is it SLU's status information on their site. Do all schools have this status checker? Thanks,

Another Question
Wednesday, October 29 2008 at 08:00 PM

How, when did you get information on if the Schools received your applications? LSDAS says my information was sent but how do i find out if the school received it? Thanks

Thanks

Thanks for the information on the status checker. I'm frazzled thinking about it and since i only applied to one place, my chances are pretty slim. Thanks

Hamline
Tuesday, September 23 2008 at 08:00 PM

Hamline at first emailed me last semester putting a hold on my app until my final grades were posted. Yesterday I got a voicemail while I was at work welcoming me and telling me scholarships will be awarded next week. Hope this helps!

St. Thomas
Tuesday, July 08 2008 at 08:00 PM

I am originally from the Twin Cities, so yes...I have been there. The campus is in downtown, close to everything...has a very new feel to it. Attitude around campus is that the school is on the rise and may crack T2 soon. Everyone...students/faculty/admin is really positive and were all overly nice to me when I was last there. Email me if you want to chat more about it...I'm seriously considering going

Thanks

Thanks a lot. I dont suppose you know how to you the index section of our law school list? I cant figure out what those numbers mean because the scores dont really match the schools.

Cleveland Marshall
Wednesday, March 26 2008 at 08:00 PM

They sent me a regular sized envelope.

Tuesday, September 23 2008 at 08:00 PM

Hey sorry I haven't been on here in a while. Hamline sent my admission decision at one point and then the director of admissions (I believe) emailed me with the scholarship decision, follow by a letter-sized envelope. Probably going to take them up on their offer. Congrats on your cycle!

Indy
Tuesday, December 02 2008 at 07:00 PM

Has your app been re-reviewed yet for Indy? I got the same response from them in December and now they're the only school I haven't heard from. Do you have any idea when they're going to re-review?
