Additional info & updates

04/25/11 - Nearly 6.5 months later, DLS from Stanford. Called, and was told it was a waitlist.

04/21/11 - After a long period of no admissions related news, got hit (hard) with two wait lists (Columbia and Harvard).

03/05/11 - String of bad news led me to avoid LSN and TLS for a few weeks. Rejected from Berkeley (CR1, 02/17/11) and waitlisted at UVa (02/22/11). Bit surprised by Berkeley, given my really tailored PS and LOR as well as what I thought was a good LOCI. I suspect UVa is a yield-protect thing (at least I hope it is). In any case I worry that this a bad sign for the rest of my cycle...

02/03/11 - Held at Columbia. Holds are really starting to get old.

01/10/11 - First action of the new year... held at Harvard. I'm actually pleasantly surprised. Thought I was an auto-ding. Harvard would be a dream I never expected to have...

12/21/10 - In at Penn! Dean Post is the best!

12/20/10 - Got in EA at Cornell! Nice way to start off the holiday week.

12/9/10 - Got home from work to find a beautiful purple envelope. In at NYU! Status checker updated 12/6.

11/21/10 - Checked mail today and in at Georgetown! Replete with a nice handwritten note from Andy. Exciting way to kick off my cycle! (Dated 11/15/10)

Thanks. Congrats to you too on the perfect 4 for 4 so far. I am from NY so didnt apply to Berkeley simply becuase of the west coast factor. If i get into Stanford I would def go, but other than there will probably stay on the east coast.

I knew from TLS that if I got a decision letter sent status in my status checker without an email or a phone call, it was likely a ding. so the date of decision was when i saw the status for the first time and got the rejection letter about a week letter in the mail.

Still great choices! Where are you headed?
