GW scholarship = 43% of tuition
UI = 40% of tuition (out-of-state)
Emory scholarship = 38% of tuition

2-2-09. Berkeley rejection via snail mail. That was expected, c'est la vie.

2-2-09. Georgetown rejection via snail mail. Ouch. That was a blow.

2-13-09. First acceptance of the season, from Emory via snail mail! Glossy yellow packet was sitting in the vestibule of my apartment building (I mistook it for junk mail at first). Yay!!

2-17-09. Cornell rejection. A very humbling experience, but sometimes you have to take things in stride.

2-20-09. UI acceptance and scholarship offer by snail mail. Emory scholarship offer by snail mail. This is exciting! I'll post the $$ amounts later.

2-25-09. GW acceptance by e-mail. Apparently they're going to consider ppl for merit scholarships next week. Hope to hear from them soon about that. UVA waitlist notification by e-mail. Hmm . . .

2-28-09. You know, I'm beginning to relish this Darwinian process in spite of getting rejected by some schools. Bring it on, you all! 8) :p

3-9-09. GW e-mail saying that they completed making their first round merit scholarship decisions. Apparently I wasn't chosen. They'll be making another round of picks in late April/early May. Luckily, they'll have a better idea of who'll actually be attending then, since it'll be after April 15 (the first tuition deposit deadline).

3-11-09. Dinged by Michigan.

3-16-09. Dinged by UT. The dominos start falling.

3-20-09. My status at Penn changed from "complete" to "under committee review." But no new news.

3-23-09. The lull before the storm.

3-24-09. Received financial aid notification from GW. Was pleasantly surprised by the offer. Very quick turnaround time for them.

3-30-09. In at Fordham!

3-31-09. Withdrew from IU.

4-1-09. Dinged by Duke.

4-3-09. BU waitlist.

4-6-09. WUSTL waitlist.

4-13-09. Ding UVA.

4-14-09. Sent initial seat deposit to GW. Withdrew from a bunch of schools. Number of decisions still at large: four.

4-15-09. Ding Penn. No surprise there.

4-15-09. USC waitlist.

4-20-09. Vandy waitlist.

4-25-09. UCLA waitlist.

5-29-09. Withdrew USC.
