Additional info & updates

Since I too frequent this site, I figured I might as well participate. :) Will update regularly!

**Scholarship amounts are per year.

12/3- In at Charolotte via email.

12/13- In at FCSL via status checker.

12/16- In at WNEC via phone call! Received packet in mail on 12/20.

1/3- Finally in review at Pace

1/11- Hoping that law schools don't have a counter that records how many times I check my status....yikes!

1/13- Decision mailed from RWU- here's to watching the mail like a hawk for the next few days!

Also, in at Albany via status checker! yay!

1/14- Rejected at American via e-mail..not surprised given my numbers.

1/15- Woke up to acceptance packets to both NE Law and RWU!

1/16- Mix of emotions today. Mainly because I spent the greater majority of last night reading a few really depressing websites about how this is the worst time to go to law school economically, and there are too many lawyers and no jobs. Don't get me wrong, I'm grateful for the fact that some great schools have accepted me, but I guess I have a case of the 'what-ifs'...here's to hoping my financial aid packet is realllllllllll good. :)

1/18- WL at QU via e-mail

1/20- Accepted to Barry via e-mail

1/22- Received scholarship letter from NESL- renewable $7,500 scholarship per year

1/24- Rejected from Rutgers Newark via snail mail, also received acceptance packet from Barry- 12K scholly per year

1/31- Wait listed at Drake via snail mail...withdrew

2/4- WL at NYLS...withdrawing that one too..

2/11- Just waiting for Pace, glad the cycle is almost over...

3/10- Withdrew from RWU- no way was I going there and paying the sticker price, and I just didn't get a great feeling about the school.

3/14- Deferred from Pace with notice that my file could possibly not be re-reviewed until August...withdrew.

Congrats on your scholarship to WNEC! I'm apply there as well as soon as I get my LSAT scores. I'm also applying to Quinnipiac and NESL Boston. Best of luck to you!

Hey, thanks so much! For RWU, my status changed to "decision mailed" and then it came a few days later, but i know what you mean about their status checker haha. I feel like so many schools are like that, though. Good luck with the rest of your acceptances! What is your first choice?

Exact same numbers! Congrats on your acceptances and $$ so far!

PT vs. FT

I applied PT to any school I could (with the exception of UDC). I'm hoping to work during law school, both for the experience and to help manage debt. I didn't apply PT to UDC because it's cheap, but if I'm accepted and decide to attend I'll probably ask about switching to PT. What are your top choices? Happy holidays to you too!

Top Choices

Cool, sounds good. I want to do something in public interest, so my first choice is CUNY. Good luck with the rest of your apps, I'll be keeping an eye on your profile!

Thank you!

QU

Yeah, for now at least. Just gonna see how the rest plays out before I withdraw. Congrats on your recent acceptances btw! Have you visited Albany/know anything about the school. I was accepted a while ago and I've meant to visit since it's decently ranked, but I haven't gotten around to it...

WNEC/NESL

I actually haven't visited either yet. I think NESL is have an open-house or something next week, so I think I'll go to that. But yeah, I have to do some visits too!

Rutgers

I'm sorry about Rutgers, but I was wondering if you applied full-time or part-time?

NESL

Haha, no worries, I'm happy to get comments on my profile! NESL is one building. The building seemed a little old and run down, but overall I got a good impression of the school. I went to an info session, so I got opinions from a lot of students and faculty. They were all very nice and helpful. They also all said the school tries to foster a collaborative rather than a competitive environment. Overall it seemed like a pretty good place to go.
