Hey sorry it took so long to reply. I don't check this very often. Unfortunately, I was forced to withdraw. I had some medical issues come up that landed me in the hospital for a week. With that comes not being able fly for a year from the medication I have to take. I don't know if I would have come off the waitlist or not but applying part time may help your chances because I applied for full-time. Wish you the best of luck on your cycle this year!!! If you have any other questions just send me an email it will have a faster response.

Hey got accepted into the full time program. good luck!

Thanks for the love, bro
Thursday, September 30 2010 at 08:00 PM

Hey man. Good to here from you. Your numbers are solid so I'm sure you'll get in to the majority of your schools. Who knows, maybe we'll end up at the same school next fall.

P.S
Thursday, September 30 2010 at 08:00 PM

No, I have not visited UB. I did, however, visit UDC and LOVED it. Had a very personal tour and got to meet with an admissions counselor for about an hour. Serious man-crush on that school.

VLS LSAT
Tuesday, February 24 2009 at 07:00 PM

yea i kind of think so too. but i'm hoping with a higher lsat score, i'll get better scholarships. good luck with your apps!

Friday, May 28 2010 at 08:00 PM

haha, well anonymous, i was thinking about it, but i didn't think i'd have much of a chance of getting in. maybe i will if you tell me who you are lol.

Thursday, September 18 2008 at 08:00 PM

Hi, I am an applicant from China and I also applied CUNY in this cycle. However, my report is still not requested by CUNY even they have sent me a status check email. Is your report requested by them?

Thursday, September 18 2008 at 08:00 PM

Finally, CUNY request my report even the status online still shows incomplete. CUNY is my top choice too and I love its public interest program.

Northeastern
Thursday, June 25 2009 at 08:00 PM

Yea that was my suggestion because I love my school!

FAMU
Friday, May 28 2010 at 08:00 PM

Hey FAMU, I got that email, and my status checker on law.famu.edu says my application is complete. Are you applying there? If you have any other questions let me know!

Really Lame
Sunday, October 24 2010 at 08:00 PM

Exactlyyy. At least we know we're off to somehwere in the fall, which is a huge plus. I'll have to look into UDC! I love the area so it may be worth a shot. Thanks!

NESL
Wednesday, December 31 2008 at 07:00 PM

I did get a phone call which was great. I heard from Suffolk in the mail on Monday, and applied for full time. I'm sure you will hear soon. Any idea of Northeastern's timeline? Best of luck.

NESL
Wednesday, December 31 2008 at 07:00 PM

Also, I did not hear anything before I got my acceptance letter, so don't worry if you haven't gotten a complete or ready for review e-mail. They seem to be on top of things.

NESL
Wednesday, December 31 2008 at 07:00 PM

I did apply Early Action to Northeasten, and my "received" e-mail confirms that, but then says I should receive a decision by April XX. A typo, I assume. We have similar numbers so I'll be interested to see how things go for us.

Suffolk
Wednesday, August 25 2010 at 08:00 PM

They just sent me a random letter of acceptance - no complete or status checkers or anything

New England Schools
Saturday, November 13 2010 at 07:00 PM

I noticed we have very similiar numbers and are applying to a lot of the same schools, needless to say I will be watching your applications! best of luck!

Sunday, October 10 2010 at 08:00 PM

Hey, thanks for the comment! I did also get that e-mail from Franklin Pierce, and I'm getting a little nervous since I haven't heard back from them yet and it's been a week. Hopefully we will both get good news soon! Good luck with the rest of your cycle! What's your first choice?

Sunday, October 10 2010 at 08:00 PM

Well good luck with CUNY! Hopefully it all works out for you. My first choice is Maine, but I'm a little out of their range for LSAT so I dunno what my chances of acceptance are. I guess we'll see what happens.

NESL
Sunday, October 10 2010 at 08:00 PM

NESL is probably tied for my 3rd choice with WNEC and after Maine and Franklin Pierce. I've read a lot of mixed reviews online, but I know a lot of lawyers who went to NESL (including my supervisor at my current internship) and loved it. It is definitely the lowest rated school in Boston, but it still seems to place well in the area. I'm also really interested in Public Interest law, which NESL seems to be really good for. So I guess it really depends on what you want do and where you want to end up, but I don't think NESL is a bad choice at all.

Sunday, October 10 2010 at 08:00 PM

Yeah, from what I gather NESL has very mixed reviews, but I can say the same for a lot of the other schools I'm looking at too. I'm hoping to visit NESL soon so that I can take a tour and form my own opinion. Are you considering WNEC at all? And this is kind of a random question, but are you interested in any of the schools that you applied to that are far away? I also applied to John Marshall, Southwestern, and FIU, but now I'm kinda thinking that I shouldn't have bothered because I really don't want to leave the Northeast.

Sunday, January 31 2010 at 07:00 PM

Yes, my status checker changed to decision rendered on 11/22, I'm surprised because it was a quick turnaround i applied on 11/8, thank you for the congrats and congrats on ur acceptances as well! i hope u hear from them soon!

Sunday, January 31 2010 at 07:00 PM

PS My first choice is probably USF, I got waitlisted there last yr so im hoping for an acceptance, what is your first choice?

Monday, November 01 2010 at 08:00 PM

Yea my file is complete at widener. Has been for about two weeks

Monday, November 01 2010 at 08:00 PM

it must suck going from a school like BU to fighting to get a spot at Widener. This shit must be disheartening the way law schools place to much emphasis on a 4 hour exam that is meaningless in the grand scheme of things. I am in the same boat as you. IT sucks

Wednesday, November 17 2010 at 07:00 PM

Hey! No I havent seen any of the schools yet I figure once I get decisions I'll start looking haha. I'mn from Ct originally so hoping to be in that area again. Def keep me updated cause we have a bunch of the same schools and good luck!

Sunday, October 10 2010 at 08:00 PM

I have no idea when we're going to hear from UNH but it's driving me crazy too. My status checker date just changed to today's date, but my application still says I'm currently under review. WNEC is actually one of my top choices because they have a dual degree I'm interested in and a public interest scholarship. They're very generous with $$, so I'm sure you'll get some. I have a friend who's going there now on basically a full ride between a merit scholarship and a public interest scholarship, and she really likes it.

Monday, November 01 2010 at 08:00 PM

Thanks for your comments bro. I feel ya 100% and have the same mentality as you. I am pulling for you as well. Hey you never know, we might end up at a law school together. Keep in touch and Keep your posts and apps up to date so i can monitor how you are doing.

UNH
Saturday, November 13 2010 at 07:00 PM

Hey congrats on UNH, have you been up to their campus yet?

Monday, November 01 2010 at 08:00 PM

Same for you, what are your top three choices?

Sunday, October 10 2010 at 08:00 PM

Status checker from UNH still says in review. I know the same thing happened to me when I was still waiting to hear from NESL- the status checker date changed a few times before I was accepted. I really hope I hear back from UNH soon!

Monday, November 01 2010 at 08:00 PM

Rutgers, Temple, Seton Hall, or U of Miami, I will be happy at any of these schools. I applied to Northeastern, how is its reputation in boston? Do people look at it as a respectable school or as a backup school to all the surrounding area schools?

Monday, November 01 2010 at 08:00 PM

So people can get a six figure job coming out of northeastern ?

..
Sunday, November 21 2010 at 07:00 PM

Hey I am sorry to hear about northeastern!! But congrats on your other acceptances... I would kill to be accepted somewhere right now... the wait is killing me. How were you notifed about Northeastern... did your status checker ever say 'in review'... mine has stayed 'complete' for a long time. gah. But good luck with the rest of your apps!

Monday, November 01 2010 at 08:00 PM

yo bro, i am sorry to hear the bad news from Northeastern, fucking sucks but keep your head up, you will hear back from other great schools, it will happen

Tuesday, August 03 2010 at 08:00 PM

hey, congrats on your acceptances!! You're definitely off to an awesome start!

New England Law
Tuesday, December 07 2010 at 07:00 PM

Hi, I plan on applying to New England Law and Quinnipiac as well. Congrats on getting into NESL. Did they happen to offer you any scholarships? Just curious.

Widener
Wednesday, November 10 2010 at 07:00 PM

Thank You!! I applied to the Harrisburg Campus because it is closer to me and near where i grew up. They emailed me at like 5am which kept my phone buzzing. It just notifies you that a decision has been made and to check your online status checker. I thought they would make me do there summer program with my scores... but im not complaining ahahah. Yea UDC is probably my first choice i visited not to long ago and the people where real nice, plus its close to home. I really hope i have a shot there, my first choice. With your scores i dont think you should have much difficulty at UDC. Congratulations on your Acceptances too!

Re: CUNY Law
Tuesday, December 07 2010 at 07:00 PM

Considering the opportunities CUNY offers, along with their cost of tuition, and the current job market, they rank pretty high on my list. If I have to choose between an out of state tier 2 with little money, out of state tier 3, or in/out of state tier four, I will most likely go with CUNY. If your planning on going into any type of public service, CUNY is a smart, secure, and cost effective move. I will keep an eye on your profile. Best of luck to you!

By the way...
Tuesday, December 07 2010 at 07:00 PM

Congrats on your acceptances!

Tuesday, December 07 2010 at 07:00 PM

I hope so...that would be awesome!

UDC
Wednesday, November 10 2010 at 07:00 PM

i applied part time because i run a business for most of the day and still want be be able to do well in law school. But, id give all that up after i graduate law school to be a lawyer of course. I think if you have the time why not do full time its the best bang for the buck.

Tuesday, December 07 2010 at 07:00 PM

Congrats on your acceptance at Suffolk!

Tuesday, December 07 2010 at 07:00 PM

I have not had the chance to visit...you?

Monday, November 01 2010 at 08:00 PM

CONGRATS ON SUFFOLK!! keep the acceptances coming

Tuesday, December 07 2010 at 07:00 PM

Is it a trendy area? Expensive? There is always a chance! Boston is a great city.

Acceptance
Tuesday, December 07 2010 at 07:00 PM

Congrats on getting into Suffolk! I hear that's a great school. Very exciting!

Wednesday, November 17 2010 at 07:00 PM

Congrats on Widnener and Suffolk!

Monday, November 01 2010 at 08:00 PM

Thanks bro, its like a half hour drive from philly. I did get into the delaware campus. But I am def not going, still plan on heading to Rutgers in the fall.

Florida
Monday, November 01 2010 at 08:00 PM

Congrats on Florida Coastal! That is good stuff. BTW Why dont you apply to Rutgers Newark PT. I could use a good study partner.

Monday, November 01 2010 at 08:00 PM

bro, i am scared to go to school in boston, there is like 8 schools in one city. Too many lawyers. I am trying to get out of philly for this reason. We have Penn, Temple, Villanova, Rutgers Camden, Widener, and Drexel. the city has way too many lawyers. Jersey have only two schools in the whole state.Cant beat it. If you are an entrepeneur, We could possibly look to open a law firm together or something if your motivated like that. But the place to do it is north jersey, not boston. Trust me

TJSL
Tuesday, November 23 2010 at 07:00 PM

Hey have you heard anything from TJSL? Did you apply spring 2011 or fall? Congrats on your other acceptances btw!

Sunday, October 10 2010 at 08:00 PM

Thanks! Congrats on your recent acceptances also! It seems like we're both still waiting on a bunch of the same schools- do you think we'll hear before Christmas?

Congrats!
Sunday, October 24 2010 at 08:00 PM

Congrats on your acceptances the past few days! Very Exciting! I'm also in at WNEC and awaiting a letter from RWU. Lots of waiting by the mail the next few days.

Monday, November 01 2010 at 08:00 PM

yo are on a monster roll. Congrats!!

Hey
Monday, December 20 2010 at 07:00 PM

Wow, we do! Thanks, and same to you! If you don't mind my asking, what was your thinking behind applying PT to some schools over others? Happy Holidays! :)

Monday, December 20 2010 at 07:00 PM

Ah, that totally makes sense. I really don't have a top choice, I'm just hoping to go somewhere to concentrate in international law preferably in New England, or generally on the East Coast. I'm from Maine, and I probably do want to live here later on in life, but I just want to spend the next 3+ years elsewhere. How about yourself?

Congrats!
Tuesday, December 28 2010 at 07:00 PM

Your acceptances are so exciting! Congrats!

THANK YOU =)
Tuesday, November 23 2010 at 07:00 PM

Heyy! Thanks for the blog feedback!! =) It's always nice to know someone is reading! It's true, part of me was hoping by a thread of luck one person from TJ admissions would suddenly lurk onto my blog and witness my desperation lol! Nonetheless your comment totally made my day, I really appreciate it!! =) I agree the admissions process for TJ is totally weird. They like to keep us waiting don't they. Congrats on Whittier btw! I've heard good things about the school! I will keep posted to your cycle! Have a happy new year!

@ GYMTANLAWLIBRARY

Yeah I'm pretty excited about the Suffolk acceptance, I know it has a great rep around here. I'm still holding out for CUNY and cheaper options though. Are you definitely going to be attending.

Saturday, December 04 2010 at 07:00 PM

good luck to you too! (sorry i just realized their were comments on here, still kinda new)

New England
Sunday, October 17 2010 at 08:00 PM

Quck question: did the scholarship offer come with the admission's packet or separately?

Thanks!
Sunday, October 17 2010 at 08:00 PM

For the info on NESL $$. BTW, I'm shoked NYLS rejected you. Keep in touch!

FIU
Monday, October 04 2010 at 08:00 PM

Hey there. FIU ranks pretty darn high for me. In state and public tuition. I'm wondering if all decisions currently say "decision rendered-letter mailed" of if it's just for accepted/denied/or even waitlisted people. Guess we'll see...:/ Good luck to you!

FIU
Monday, October 04 2010 at 08:00 PM

PS-do you have anything listed under fees on the FIU status checker, or just the app fee listed? A few of us were curious on this. Thanks-

FIU
Sunday, October 10 2010 at 08:00 PM

I have the same status from FIU. I'm hoping for an acceptance, but it's hard to be optimistic since most of the decisions I've gotten lately aren't good ones. I guess we'll find out soon!

FIU
Monday, October 04 2010 at 08:00 PM

Mine says letter sent, but under documents mailed it doesn't list it. So they may not have even mailed those letters out yet. Just fyi. I'm in the same boat. Please keep in touch. I'll do the same.

UDC
Sunday, October 10 2010 at 08:00 PM

Yeah, after considering the cheap tuition and clinical program I figured I had nothing to lose by applying. The only downside is the cost of living in DC. I will definitely visit if I get accepted. Did you get the chance to visit FIU? I was there last January and I loved the campus. It's definitely a great deal, especially considering how low tuition is.

NCCU
Sunday, October 10 2010 at 08:00 PM

Just noticed your NCCU comment- thanks! I don't know much about the area, I applied because I'm interested in NC schools and the tuition is incredibly low. I think it's one of the best value schools in the country? Definitely worth considering if you want to work in public interest in my opinion. The only downside is that the degree probably won't carry outside of the NC area, but then again most of the tier 3/4 schools I applied to won't, so at least NCCU is more affordable.

Sunday, October 10 2010 at 08:00 PM

I really don't know where I'm leaning right now, I'm definitely going to have to make a few visits in the next couple of months. I'm definitely going to hold out for Maine, and maybe UNH- but the only people I know who went to UNH hated it and said it was an extremely cutthroat non-welcoming environment and they both transferred out. So if I don't hear from them by April I might just withdraw, because if it is like they say it is I don't think I'd like it much anyways. How about you, where are you leaning toward based off of your decisions now?

1st choice
Monday, October 04 2010 at 08:00 PM

I'd have to say Stetson. It's a long shot, but I'd definetely love that. What about you?

Thursday, September 24 2009 at 08:00 PM

Are you planning on going to FIU if you get in? I'm a native floridan and would like to stay close to home, not to mention pay in state tuition. It's either FSU, UF(my personal favorite), FIU or FAMU. Fingers are crossed! I'll be rooting for your FIU letter, USPS can be so slow sometimes.

sophia
Friday, May 28 2010 at 08:00 PM

Hey Sophia, thanks for the encouraging words and congrats on your acceptance! what are your #s if you don't mind my asking? And do you have seat deposit info on status checker? You can PM me if you want? Thanks!

Thursday, September 24 2009 at 08:00 PM

Yeah, I know what you mean about cheaper. I believe I will be in public interest for a little while. When I worked at the SAO in my county they told me SA's or PD's don't stick around long because they can't afford to. Have you heard of after 7 years of working for the government they'll pay off your loans? My friend that goes to Quinnipiac law mentioned it to me. Did you hear from FIU yet?!?! Thanks for the nice comments btw. I need the ego booster sometimes.

WSU
Friday, February 05 2010 at 07:00 PM

Congrats to you as well. My status checker changed to "decision rendered" and the next day I got a call.

FAMU
Monday, October 04 2010 at 08:00 PM

It ranks high for me. People don't speak highly of it, but in state tuition-and ABA approval is really all you need. Low to no debt and you can take the Bar exam. Been a tough week for me, here's hoping for better results.

Thanks
Monday, October 04 2010 at 08:00 PM

I'm hoping for that good week you mentioned. I've just heard that they are having issues over there with the Dean, etc. Plus not many people even know they have a program. But they are ABA approved. I think when you discuss tier 3 or tier 4, they all amount to the same so you try to save $. What do you say?

Monday, December 20 2010 at 07:00 PM

hey! are you going to ride out the waitlist? I'm thinking I probably won't but will probably think about it for a while.

Albany
Monday, December 20 2010 at 07:00 PM

Nope, I haven't checked out Albany yet...actually the only one I've been to is Maine, since I went to school for a year at USM which is the campus it is on. I've heard good things though, from friends in NY. I should probably get on the whole visit thing soon! :) Have you visited WNEC or New England?

JD-FAMU
Friday, May 28 2010 at 08:00 PM

Hey man, was your application at UNH called "complete" for a while. I just submitted mine abt a week ago and it says "under review" already...i dont know if that means i will hear back soon, or if it just means the same as complete

Nah, no money from them. If they offer me any I'll update.

congrats on all your acceptances! Do you have any idea where you wanna go yet? Have you visited any of the schools in New England yet?

UDC

Hey congrats on the UDC acceptance! It's either good for me that they're starting to make decisions or bad that they haven't made a decision for me yet. It's strange that they don't jsut update status checker. It's kinda pointless to check now. Just gotta wait for the email, I guess...

Nesl is looking pretty viable thanks to their scholarship offer haha...Would love QU but a bit expensive...Really hoping for some good news from Uconn not sure if Im hoping beyond hope though...Youll have to let me know where you decide since we have so many schools in common!

Wednesday, December 08 2010 at 07:00 PM

Hey did your John Marshall online status checker say that a decision had been rendered? Mine has said in review since November, and I am just getting a little impatient.

Wednesday, December 08 2010 at 07:00 PM

Yeah CUNY is my top choice. It was weird though bc it said that it was in review on 12/8 and then the date changed to 2/8. I called them and they said that it was a computer glitch and it just now went into review. Ugh I was waiting all this time. I hope they don't take to long.

Haha, yeah, what can you do though. At least you didn't straight up rejected from NYLS!

Were you able to get a fee waiver from CUNY?

FAMU-Congrats! Are you going to attend? FIU-No, I never got that. But I got a letter from their financial office today despite the fact that I've already been rejected :P

Still not sure, but it's one of my top right now.

Hi
Wednesday, January 12 2011 at 07:00 PM

We have applied to a lot of the same schools and have received some of our decisions at the same time! This wait on Southwestern is starting to get pretty annoying for me! What is your top choice as of now? I am assuming maybe Suffolk because you are currently in Boston. I live in Colorado but came out to visit Suffolk in Feb and was really impressed. Good luck in the future on your apps.

Suffolk

the above post is from me.... btw is that 10,000 per year?

Schools

So I wanted to give you a heads up about some of the schools you are considering. You may already know this but a lot of the cali school's you are considering have a horrendous grading curve and HUGE academic attrition rate. Western State fails out over a third of their first year class, Whittier fails people out all 3-4 years with the worst year being the first where they fail out about a third also and GGU is not much better. You should check out the attrition rates on LSAC official guide and also find the student handbook on these school's websites to get a feel for their curve. If I were you I would go to Southwestern If I were going to a cali school. If you look at Suffolk, they only fail out about 15 out of 530 students the first year and almost no one the remaining years.

Have you made any decisions so far?

Thursday, September 24 2009 at 08:00 PM

I'm going to go visit Barry for Admitted students day. I'm still waiting for FAMU. But I am going to send out my application to Southwestern SL. I know it's kind of late... My sister is talking about moving to LA so that might work out well. I also like their SCALE program they have.

Thursday, September 24 2009 at 08:00 PM

I'm stilling waiting on FAMU. I'd like the in state tuition. Are you planning on paying sticker price for SL?

Sunday, November 21 2010 at 07:00 PM

What's your top choice school? If it's not Maine you should withdraw:-)

Sunday, November 21 2010 at 07:00 PM

Well it looks like you will have a few decisions to make as to which school you will attend. Maine is my top choice and best option. Given my Lsat score I am lucky to have been wait-listed. I REALLY hope they let me in ha.

Sunday, October 10 2010 at 08:00 PM

Congrats on CUNY- I know it was your top choice! Do you think you'll be going there?

Sunday, October 10 2010 at 08:00 PM

I've pretty much decided on NESL. I just got accepted to RWU on Monday- I have no idea what took them so long; but I most likely won't be going. I'm still holding out for Maine and would consider UNH or Vermont if I get off the waitlists, but I'm not banking on it. I'm glad everything worked out for you and you're able to go to your first choice!

So u decided to move out of Boston , that is crazy. I thought u would pick Suffolk . What made you make the trip to NYC .

Sunday, January 31 2010 at 07:00 PM

Monday, November 01 2010 at 08:00 PM

Def keep me in mind, my email address is Adam.accay1@gmail.com . Good luck in NYC next year and study hard my friend .

Sunday, January 31 2010 at 07:00 PM

Hey I dont know if USF is my top choice anymore since they gave me no scholarship money so I'm not sure if I can go there at sticker! I'm stuck between UOP and USF I'm probably going to end up paying multiple deposits

Sunday, January 31 2010 at 07:00 PM

I hadn't thought of that, but i think it could be worth a shot!

Sunday, October 10 2010 at 08:00 PM

Thanks, congrats on your waitlist acceptance as well! Are you still planning on CUNY?
