I hear ya about no interest in "social justice" law. You want to change the world, kids? Make movies, write novels. Litigation isn't the way to go. Courts just follow the culture nowadays, and when they don't (Roe v. Wade; Brown vs. B of E), these issues still just become cultural battles in the end.
spending 14hrs a day in the office trying to bill hours while charging hundreds of dollars per hour inspired me...j/k i'd expect you'd get into everywhere you've applied to w/ univVA being a 60/40 and univCHI being a maybe
no, 14hrs wasnt in legally blonde but in most cases long office days is really what being a lawyer entails maybe you should be a litigator, otherwise it's the office all the time one thing I especially find appealing is that having a law degree opens up career possibilities in all kinds of fields, but most probably find it even more appealing to take a job w/ a big law firm so they can bring in the big money to pay off those loans
What the hell was UW thinking? With your 177, I would have expected them to let you in even if you told them you hated them in your app! ;-) Good luck in the rest of the cycle...
