actually, we had the exact same thing happen to us. i received an email from the student ambassadors telling me congrats. i got home and found the snail mail! can't complain though. i did get in!

Haven't heard anything other than when I spoke with them they said that they were still doing their january admissions cycle. I talked with john marshall chicago, and they said they don't do anything until they are done with january. I suppose it's a hold, since last year's data for south texas shows nothing until december. I will say that Denver has a really nice facility if that's your final choice.

AWESOME! It reminds me a lot of UT. Everyone was really cool there. When I visited IUB last year it was more like "you should be lucky we accepted you." But with UIUC they were more like, "we are lucky to have you and we want you here." (Even though UIUC is much better ranked and more highly respected.)

Congrats to you as well! $16k per year as long as I maintain a 3.0. According to NALP their Top 25%= 3.05 & Median GPA = 2.73 , so I'll def have to think carefully before deciding to turn down a higher ranked school. Still though it's excited to be offered $$!

Spoke with admissions and they said they will not request reports from LSDAS until December 1. Also, Wesleyan said they just recived about 200 apps from LSAC on Tuesday and they are trying to sort it out.

Yea...that is extremely odd. I submitted my application and went complete before most people on here even submitted theirs. These same people have already receieved decisions (accepted and denied) and I am yet to hear a peep? I definately don't get that...

I have no idea what is up with OU. Oh well, I haven't even really worried about it because as soon as I got the acceptance from Missouri I knew that I would not be going to Oklahoma. Hopefully more schools start getting back to us soon, I got 3 decisions last week and I'm itching for more. Too bad none of my other schools are really sending out decisions yet, except for Miami, but it looks like they have taken a break.

my dad is an attorney in OKC. my connections are here so i've decided to stay close. i think i'm hopeless at OU...they obviously think quite a bit of themselves there. good luck :)

Thanks. It was probably my closest school to a sure thing, except for maybe one other school, but I really liked the campus and Baton Rouge when I visited, so I would be very happy to go there. Congrats on St. Mary's as well. It is nice to have a decision to make instead of being forced to go to one school or no school at all.

the spring class at baylor is super duper competitive with an acceptance rate of like 10% or something so i wouldnt worry too much. good luck!

They deferred me...which I cannot figure out. Looking at the numbers, there were two people with LSAT's substantially lower and GPA's slightly higher who got in...oh well. Maybe it means they think I won't go there because I will get in somewhere substantially better?

I see we're both waiting on Kansas with similar numbers. Did they ask you to apply, send you a brochure, etc?

162 for the second time lol. I only studied for the week before so whatever. Its looking pretty firmly like UIUC. I'm not even sure I am going to apply anywhere else. I would apply to UT, but I don't feel like waiting for their rejection letter for five months for the second time! lol. I guess I could just do it and see what happens like with the LSAT?

well, the letter said that they can't offer me a seat right now, but i've been put in the "active consideration list" and may be called in late spring or early summer as spots open up. it sucks because they are my #1 (due to cheap tuition and the fact that my siblings all went to undergrad there) but oh well. i still have lots of pending aps, plus tulsa is offering quite the sum. i know it's early, but are you considering going to tulsa?

Just applied to Baylor and UT... I have thought about going over to meet with the dean or someone at UT to beg, but I don't think that will help lol. Good luck : )

I did get the baylor bump after only 6 days. Crazy. Cloverfield=car sickness. Rambo=pure gore awesomeness.

I am applying to vandy, emory, and u va to see if I can maybe secure some waitlists. I added "being an extraordinarily tall female all of my life currently slightly over 6'0" to the diversity section of the vandy ap. I totally think that qualifies me as a URM....

You made any decision yet on where you are attending? I am daily opening my mailbox and praying that I don't get a letter from UT since they accept people by telephone. Unfortunately, I feel that the rejection is somewhat inevitable... But I can dream the impossible dream until then lol.

Pretty positive its still Illinois. Wasn't really digging the whole back to back quarter system thing with three sets of finals a year that Baylor has. Plus they require a large percentage of the second and third year curriculum and have that third year practice court program that kicks your ass. I am just not that interested in the field of law they make mandatory and focus on. 1 1/2 hours from austin is nice though... But Waco is yuck. Good luck at south texas!
