Did you apply to Rutgers under the Minority Program?

Georgetown doesn't send e-mails notifying you of completion etc. (I learned that the hard way when I applied last cycle). You have to proactively sign up for the status checker and then check obsessively in order to find out when your status changes. Good luck!

A deferral just means that they will wait to make their decision later. Waitlisted means that they may accept you if they need to fill a spot in the school, but your chances of getting in off a waitlist are usually low. Looking at your schools, I think you'll definitely get in at Hofstra, Pace, and Syracuse and you have a shot at Buffalo and Mercer. Good luck! By the way, what country are you living in right now?

I just received an email yesterday notifying me that they have received my application, which is like duh, I applied on Feb 11. Or maybe they are plain busy? I don't know. That was the first and last update I heard from them. How about you?

Goodluck with case! I applied late in the cycle as well. Hopefully they won't hold that against us too much!

I dont know about the cycle thing you wrote of. I became a member on here around then so maybe that is why it says that, I will be applying to law school for fall 09 I am currently a senior at my undergrad school. The reason I want to attend UT is because that is where I was born and grew up mostly, im a huge UT fan, and most of my family lives there and I need to also return there b/c I want to be able to help my grandparents out since they are getting older and have a farm to manage. Do you have any tips for the PS or how i could portray my goal of getting into UT and eagerness of attending school there? I will accept/need all the help I can get because I do not know how great I will do on LSAT (Im currently am not scoring as high as i wish to on pratice tests).Im taking it in June and have been studying and taking pratice test for awhile and am attending a powerscore class coming up so hopefully that will help me out too.

I got a phone call from one of the Admissions Deans and he asked if I was still interested in UConn. I said yes, and he said that sounds great and that they were going to be making decisions soon. I got a letter in the mail a week letter, postmarked the day after the phone call offering me admission.

Release?
Saturday, October 27 2007 at 08:00 PM

Hi, congratulations on your acceptances! If you have just a minute to spare, I have a quick question about UCONN and SMU. How did you find out that their classes are filled? I mean the whole idea of a waitlist is to wait and see who drops out before Aug, isn\'t it? I might be wrong but can you please let me know how you found out and what you mean by \"release\"? Thanks so much!
