Additional info & updates

05 April - Just got word that I am provisionally approved for the Appalachian summer program. Not really sure about this with the low success rate.

06 April - Approved for NSU's AAMPLE program. Last year's success rate - 11%, WOW! That is beyond scary, especially with only a few days to decide whether or not to accept.

07 April - I just updated my list to reflect accepted schools, still waiting on several decisions.

05 May - After checking the school out online, I want to get in Tennessee! I have friends nearby and love the area. Any recommendations? If you have been accepted and you aren't attending, let them know! Thanks

15 May - Though NOVA looked like a great place to attend school, the AAMPLE program did not look so appealing. After doing the math, it would have cost me close to $7000 for 6 weeks of prep and no guarantees. Not the kind of gamble I can afford right now.

...with your aps! What did you end up getting on your LSAT? As you can see from my profile, I had an average first run at the test, but did better on the second. Well, best of luck!

I too found out about the program late. I did have one shot, but my first LSAT was not quite high enough. I am not sure if I am going to go back in or not. I am not ruling anything out, but I think my wife would have a hard time accepting me returning to the service. Have you started to hear back from any schools yet? v/r

I'm grateful for the FCSL accpetance. Yeah, I was quite surprised to see Rutgers offered that option and I think that was great. I also used that option, for as you see, my LSAT probably would have automatically made them say NO! LOL. Anyway, I was surprised to get the offer to participate in the conditional program at NYLS but it seems more discouraging than anything. Out of all of the offers they send out, only 25 can actually participate on a first come first serve basis and then the program targets those who aren't working, in some ways. Your participation weighs in heavily and they say most dedicate at least 40hrs a week...and that's for only 2 classes. They even suggest that you not work. I think that stinks because obviously (to them not you), I'm currently working a full time job so that's ridiculous.,, although I really appreciate the offer. So, all that means is I'm not staying home in NYC to go to school. Oh well. such is life. Well, I truly hope all goes well with your applications. Good Luck!

Well maybe we'll all see each other at FCSL. I would rather be in southern FL, but Jacksonville is closer to home. I'll see what happens. Is it me or are you guys having to wait a long time on responses?

forever. Believe me it's not you. I feel like I've been waiting for a year now...LOL. Most of my apps have been in since end of December through mid/end January and I still haven't heard from them. Granted some were just sent so I can't be mad at them but my goodness, what's going on. I guess it's better than them turning me down right away when they see the LSAT score so I guess I better just sit tight. LOL...

Thanks for the info, but unfortunately I am out of the race at Maryland. I got the usual: "Although your application was highly competitve..."
