Additional info & updates

12/14: In at Georgetown via small white envelope with a personal letter from Dean Cornblatt!

12/14: In at NYU! Stunned to be in so early and especially since I was never notified of being complete. Decision came in big manila envelope with a purple folder inside.

Michigan waitlist came via email as did the Berkeley waitlist, the Penn waitlist, the Duke waitlist, and the Northwestern deferral. I was waitlisted at Berkeley and Michigan after having been deferred earlier in the cycle.

Nothing from UVA yet. I'm beginning to wonder whether I should call?

3/27: Waitlisted at UVA. Came via snail mail, after my online status check was updated to decision. Good thing I'm in at NYU, otherwise I'd be working up quite the sweat right now with all of these waitlists.

I don't really understand why I've been waitlisted at some of the places that I have? Poor app? I thought it was strong and why did I get into NYU so early then? I'm at a loss with some of these waitlists.

First off, congrats on GULC. I'm very jealous. How long was the turnaround time between your status checker gonig to "Decision" until you received the letter in the mail? And where do you live? I'm in New England and just went to "Decision" yesterday.

Hi avs, Thanks. GULC is high on my list, but I am keeping an open mind until I hear back from everywhere and have an opportunity to visit. Is NYU a top choice for you???

oh cool, i also am very interested in intl law which is why i like colum/gtown/nyu... You already have some great acceptances early on so I wouldn't rule out Harvard at all. (btw I'm also a Cali native- represent!)

congrats

NYU

It was not a top choice going into the cycle but I think that is because I could imagine getting in there. Honestly, I applied for the obvious reasons. Now, I am seriously considering attending there.

I think it's probably my work experience combined with a few other uncommon soft factors that have given me a boost. But I'm still in shock myself! Congratulations on Gtown and NYU and best of luck...I'm sure you're in for some more good news before the cycle's over!

congratulations!
