Additional info & updates

I went to Pitt for undergrad majoring in History and Poly. Sci.
Deans List and all that crap

Ive gotten accepted at:

Pace-They have offered me a 9000 yearly scholarship, and since they have a great ranking for E-law it will be tough to pass up. However I have lived in the city for 4 years and dont know if I want to continue doing so. They will probably have better job prospects than VT though.

Vermont-I had a bit of an epiphany while on vacation skiing in Vermont in undergrad, and that was that I wanted to pursue a career in Environmental law. Vermont is a beautiful place and I'm bit of a hippie nostalgic so I would love that aspect, and the ended up offering me 6000 bucks with my financial aid package in schol. money.

Roger Williams-It is not all that prestigious, plus their E-law isnt as highly regarded as the others, however they seem to have a good coastal affairs type program. Bristol and RI seem really cool, plus living by the ocean would be nice. It is unlikely I will go there but we ll see after I visit

Denver-
I didnt know if I would get in, but it has always been a dream of mine to move out west, especially after driving through denver to go the fiesta bowl ( pitt sucked). I've never actually been to Denver, and moving that far from family is difficult, but Denver and Colorado seem really cool, especially since I love skiing. This wild card is making my decision tough.

As for the others:I dont care about NE, and im sure I will get in. Lewis and Clark will probably reject me, and Im thinking oregon will too, but Oregon the state seems awesome and liberal and would also be tough to pass up.

I just got $6000 from vt with my financial aid package in scholarship money so they more or less lock its up, although if I did get accepted to Oregon it would be really hard to not give it a serious look, bc it would be the highest ranked school I was accepted at and its in a very cool town in a very cool state. It is 3000 miles away however and Im a broke ass.

hey - when are you stopping by pace? i've got a tour set up for this thursday morning and am sitting in on a class at 12:30. (i live 15 minutes from white plains and am home for spring break, so it worked out nicely.) also, let me know what you think of RW - the weekend i was supposed to go visit, i got stuck in a blizzard and have been unable to plan another visit because of my schedule. good luck & have a safe trip!

Judging by your comments and your interest in Environmental Law, I really think you would like Oregon and Eugene in particular. I'm leaning toward going to U of O, but need to wait for all of my decisions to roll in before I know for sure. Best of luck getting in at U of O.

If you have any questions about U of O and Eugene or just Oregon in general, feel free to ask me. I'm from Oregon, and my fiancee did her undergrad at U of O. She really liked Eugene and her time at U of O.
