Hofstra- small, white envelope

Totally unsure of where I want to go.

Really interested in Real Estate law, Trusts & Estate, Family law.

Any input from anyone on the schools I've listed would be greatly appreciated - deposit deadlines are soon!

And, if anyone can explain this Chiashu calculator thing to me, that would be great. I know it's a little late for the schools I've been accepted to, I'd just like to see how it works.

03/07 - Going nuts waiting for Fordham and Bklyn. Tomorrow's my b-day - just hoping they'll wait til after to send their rejection letters.

03/16 - Checked the Fordham website. Decision: Denied.
Although not a total shock, it still hurts.

Sent my deposit into Pace! (Didn't withdraw from Brooklyn though - still waiting to see what they say.)

Congrats on Pace. When did you send your application, and when did you receive a decision? Thanks.

I know that besides Tulane, Loyola New Orleans and a few others, Roger Williams seems to have a decent maritime law program. Of course, that doesn't appear to be an interest area for you. Good luck with the rest of the process!

To answer your question - first of all, I want to go to Pace because it is one of the schools I am most likely to get in; second, I really like the school and it is easy for me to commute there, and lastly, there are not that many choices for in NY for people with low lsat scores. hope this answers your question. -law777

Don't worry, I'm a big nerd myself. I picked Pace for many reasons. Most importantly it was a fabulous Enviro Law program, which is what I want to go once I graduate. I also want to practice in the NY/NJ area, so it is good to pick a school in the area you want to work in. They did give me some money, which also helped my decision. Finally, they have housing unlike Vermont... I don't want the stress of having to find somewhere to live, dealing with roommates ect... If you ever want to take feel free to email me. Law School is pretty much my life. I think about it 24/7 so I'm always up for talking. Good Luck!

I just spoke with them yesterday, and they seemed surprised that I had received an email before a mailing. I guess by mail is the standard, but I never did get a letter specifically saying that I was admitted. Just the email, some literature for admitted students, and a phone call from a student asking if I had any questions. They do some really good marketing at Brooklyn.

thanks!

Yeah, the pin is small gesture, but still very nice. Congrats to you too on all of your acceptances and good luck with Brooklyn and Fordham!!! In which direction are you leaning? Happy Birthday!

I'm not really sure which way I am leaning.... I'd like to go to school in Boston but I haven't heard from any of those schools yet. I also havent heard back from 'Cuse yet. We'll see... The next 2 weeks will be pretty exciting/excruciating! I hope you had a great Bday!

Thanks! Yes, Clark does produce some high quality pre-law students. We have some top level acceptances every year. Thanks for the recognition and congrats on your admits.

Hi again! Are you considering Pace? What about NYLS?

Pace and RW
Wednesday, March 01 2006 at 07:00 PM

Hey, I went through White plains for the second time. Its nice, but it seems like it has all the disadvantages of the city(traffic, expensive living, etc) without being in the city. I guess its all a matter of taste, but Im a country boy at heart and will probably go to VLS. Plus I lived in Pittsburgh for 4 years and am a bit tired of it. RW is beautiful. The campus, the bay and the town of bristol are all great and I wouldnt mind going there. The people I met with at RW were very friendly and helpful and represented their school very well. However, RW is probably one of the least prestigious schools I got into (not that any are top 50) so it is unlikely I will go there, especially since I want to go for ELAw. Both pace and RW were very nice, with RW being very pretty geographically. I was overwhelmed by VT however and it looks like i will go there, but best of luck to you. Any other Q's feel free to ask.

I'm happy so many of us got admitted into Pace. I haven't had a chance to visit the campus since I live in Oregon, so I'd love to chat more about the school & why you chose it. I'm on MSN: punkbvr@hotmail.com
