Hmm, sorry about the hold at Florida. I called the other day and they said my file was "still in committee" whatever that means. It's so tough! Hopefully you will get in once they get your new grades and a LOCI. Good luck!
So after I read your profile here I called and I am on hold at UF, too. Still, they sent letters to the people they deferred so maybe we are in a different group? That's what I'm hoping anyway. I can't imagine that you will be rejected with your numbers AND being from Gainesville. I'm hoping for both of our sake they are just holding our files until they have a fuller picture of the rest of the applicants. Anyway, good luck.
It looks like they've been moving this week. I noticed quite a few new acceptances mixed with some rejections this week. Nothing for me! I visited the law school back in November. It was fantastic. They let me sit in on a Contracts class and two students gave me a tour. I fell in love with the whole atmosphere. Wouldn't it be nice if we both get in and are classmates this fall? :-) I still have hope for both of us. I think I'm going to send a letter of continued interest in a week or two since I'm on hold. I figure it can't hurt!
That is GREAT news. I was so worried when I found out I was being held. I'm a splitter to that immediately makes me nervous because you can never tell how that will work out. Hopefully they won't make us wait and sweat it out too much longer. I love Gainesville, too. It's such a neat town to live in.
Thanks and I totally agree with you about Florida, thats the decision I am dying to get! Besides Emory and W&L which are extreme long shots UF is my first choice.
Hey I was looking around on LSN and randomly saw your profile. You got some really good acceptances so far. Whats your number 1 choice?
I am probably gonna go to Samford. It is a Tier 3 but in the city I want to practice and basically free so its pretty appealing. What kind of Engineering did you study? and are you thinking about IP because UGA has a pretty good program. I know I would have gone there if I could have gotten in.
