Additional info & updates

1/9/09 - University of Michigan: Invitation to apply for a Darrow Scholarship
1/22/09 - Hamilton Fellowship at Columbia
2/6/09 - Full Darrow at Michigan (Dean Zearfoss is really awesome!)
2/9/09 - USC merit scholarship award received in the mail ($25,000/year)
4/1/09 - I just withdrew from Stanford and U of Mich. These two were especially difficult choices and while I feel slightly noxious, I'm fairly certain that this was a good move for me.

I finally made a decision and I am so happy that my cycle is over! I can't wait to start at HLS in the fall.

Thanks for the good wishes, and good luck on the rest of your cycle. Besides the fact that I went to a UC school, we have pretty much everything else in common (including amount of years out of undergrad). Which T5 did you attend if you don't mind me asking?

Good stuff!

Congrats on your cycle so far! I'm a little new to this site, but have found it very helpful so far. I was wondering if you could tell me about some of the other extracurricular activities you were involved with? Good luck with the next few months!

WOW

I am very very happy for you! Stanford is wonderful! Big contrast to HLS in that it is smaller (everything is in one building). You will have some big decisions to make. I'd bet on you getting into Yale as well.

Congrats!

HI! Similar numbers etc. looks like you have great options but I'm dying to know where you pick?

congrats!

Mein gott, that offer from Columbia looks pretty dang tough to turn down. Congrats on an awesome cycle.

Thanks!

And congrats right back at you! Great cycle, and although all of your acceptance are awesome I am somewhat partial to the full Darrow...Good luck on the remaining few:)

Right back at ya

I'm trying to figure out who you are. Hum Bio, URM female, huh? I'm stumped, even though most of my friends were Hum Bio. Sans Yale, is there a frontrunner? I don't think I'm taking the Hamilton - I want to do academia, etc. so it's Harvard or Yale I think.

congrats

on all of your acceptances, you have had a great cycle.

curious

just wondering what you'll decide. what an incredibly difficult decision: yale, harvard, and a full ride at columbia. surreal.

WOW

amazing!!! good job you have a great future ahead of you p.s. Im shocked UCLA waitlisted you yet you get into every IVY league - great story to tell :)

How did you do it?
Monday, January 26 2009 at 07:00 PM

I'm a fellow URM and have about the same numbers as you, though I hope to raise my score to a 170 by test day. Your numbers give me hope, but I was wondering if there's any other reason that you were able to get into such great schools?(double amputee, moved here from south africa, etc;) Thanks

Hey, congrats! I don't know if you still use this, but, if you don't mind my asking, what kind of URM are you?
