04-28-09: Seat deposit down at Georgetown. Withdrawn from all of the rest. Oh and BIG surprise with the Harvard rejection. Sent updated information again to Duke. Will update them again in about a week or two and begin to really try to get off that waitlist. If not, DC here I come.

04-11-09: Another waitlist, I guess I should probably withdraw from there, but at this point it seems easier just to wait and just deposit and just let the others go by the wayside that way. And how's this for changing my mind, I now think I'll be depositing at Gtown and still hold out for Duke. Fingers CROSSED!

03-25-09: After visiting W&M and Duke this weekend I've come to the conclusion that Duke is really really really what I want. It's just a matter of working to show them how much I want it and how well I will do. So frustrating to want what you can't have. Unless Gtown surprises me looks like it'll be a deposit at w&m while I wait on those guys in Durham to let me in. (Pretty please with sugar on top.) This five month process could possibly (quite possibly) drag on through most of summer. In for a long ride I guess.

02-23-09: (btw all scholarship is over 3 yrs) Today email from UCLA, giving 13,000 in needbased grants (as I'll be financing myself) which was completely unexpected. They want to know what I've been offered for merit-based stuff to compete? I don't see myself on the west coast, but a good name and a low price? Hoping to use as leverage. Finally got the scholarship application from GULC which will be going out promptly. I am really starting to struggle.

02-20-09: After being a part of the mass status change and assuming a reject on Tuesday I got the waitlist email today. I'm still a huge fan of this school, and well, if you're not, and you're in, how about you free up some of those spots for those of us who are on the back burner? :) LOL Thanks!

02-17-09: So I've gone clinically insane. I just sent in an additional application to W&M after learning that W&L was very conservative-minded. I can't believe myself, but I guess what's done is done. Still nothing from anyone else.

02-13-09: Scholarship from W&L today, email, was nice to see. Oh and someone didn't send her resume to Harvard. Way to go. At least they noticed? I was sadly actually very excited that they realized I'd absentmindedly forgotten it, thank you HLS, for even reading my application, it means a lot. :) Visit to Alabama this weekend definitely putting things into perspective. Now, if only everyone else finished their decisions so I could make mine. Ha.

02-10-09: Bye UVA. Good thing I felt out of place on the campus anyway. Little sad, but happens to the best of us. Well, maybe not the best, maybe why that's why they are THE best. Ha. Oh well.

02-04-09: I guess all of the energy I've been devoting to obsessing has finally paid off. Happy to hear from UCLA, it was an email about the website for admitted students even though I've yet to get the actual letter.

02-03-09: I am probably going to drive myself crazy. I'm coming to the three month mark for most of my schools and still not heard from a few that I need to hear from before rendering my own decision. It's been about three weeks since my last decision. I NEED something!

01-28-09: So I'm feeling a little guilty about using this site to my advantage without adding much to it after a friend pointed out how useful it can be to future applicants. I have been pretty lucky so far, and I am grateful, but I am also just crossing my fingers (and toes) and hoping and wishing for certain schools to get back to me. I know the area that I like and where I think I want to go but ah, this has been the most stressful experience of my life (until next year! HAH!)
Miami was Thanksgiving and it was a small envelope.
Georgetown was beginning of December, very small envelope and a nice handwritten note.
Alabama was a call mid-December.
Washington and Lee was a small envelope on Christmas Eve.
Washington U was an email mid January.
