We do have very similar numbers (and nine of the same schools!!!). Keep me updated and I'll do the same, best of luck!

Hey there - I haven't gone complete at BLS because my Dean Cert has not arrived. Otherwise, everything is in. If you call the admissions office and ask to check the status of your application they will do it for you - they are very nice there. GOOD LUCK. we have a couple of the same schools so maybe we'll end up classmates! Why didn't you apply to Northeastern?

NYLS

It took 2 months for me to go complete. I'd say give them a call and see what's up, it's late in the cycle I'm sure they're expecting paranoid people. Best of luck!

Thanks

Thanks! I got into one so far, so I'm happy about that. I'd really rather go to a school closer to NYC though. Oh well, got to be happy about the little things too (not this is so little:))... gl to you too.

Sent it end of November...was complete by the second week of december...took slightly longer than other schools. Good luck!

About that optional essay...yeah, I didn't hand one in. I figure if I get deferred or waitlisted I will put in that extra effort, but they insist that it's entirely optional - I'm taking their word for it. I was just curious if there was something I should know about the school...any day now!

Hoftsra

It was a little suprising considering I was in at Syracuse the day before, but, yea, I am def. happy about a WL rather than rejection. They give you a ton of info. about the WL and all you can do to improve your chances of getting off (retaking LSAT, updating transcripts, addendums, etc.), as well several options as to how long you want to be kept on the WL and for what programs (PT or FT). Let me know if you have any more questions! GOOD LUCK!

Thanks

Thanks for the note. Also, I went to Pace today to check out their campus (and have interview with an admissions officer) and it was really great. I think they have some really excellent programs, and it's a cute campus that feels very intimate. Anyway, I thought I would share in case you were interested. I'll be checking up on you!

Actually, I don't think I'm going to submit any additional info to NYLS because I'm not really that interested in going there anyway. From what I hear, they are very expensive and don't have a great reputation. Have you heard differently? Best of luck to you! :-)

Yes, I am currently in the process of submitting more information. In fact, I am sending my updated transcripts to all the schools that I was deferred or waitlisted at. I made Dean's List in Fall 05, so I thought maybe that would help me out. I'm not sure. If I wasn't proud of my grades, I probably just wouldn't have sent anything. I'm on the waiting list for Quinnipiac also. Which school are you more interested in NYSL or Quinnipiac?

CONGRATS!!

Thanks for the message! Not sure yet, as I haven't heard from three of my top choices yet (I am guessing they are rejections, though). Right now, it's looking like Rutgers, with FP and Syracuse close behind. I have been away from home all week, so I I plan to put in some wdraws next week.

We are twins with the expection of your acceptance! I plan to wdraw from NYLS when I go hopme next week and probably the WL at Hoftsra as well. Sorry I couldn't give you advice on what to do for Hoftra, but I hope that my wdraws in some way help you!

i have no idea why they rejected me, as far as numbers go i fall right in their stats...but no complaints, how did you do on your lsat?

No top choice
Monday, February 13 2006 at 07:00 PM

I'd go anywhere that my LSATs would permit. I suspect that this process could take a few more months for me (I am aiming pretty high considering the trouble I've had with the LSAT). Did you have a big split in your scores? Anyway, congrats on being accepted! Best wishes.

Hey! Thanks for you note. I heard on Friday (3/24), via snail mail (med. sized envelope). I highlighted my ECs (and attached an LSAT addendum), which were all-american athlete, head of residential life, and president of the queer student union. I also have worked as a paralegal for the last three years. I literally grew up around the corner from Brooklyn (I went to lower, middle and high school on the same block!), so I was really holding out for them - it would have been an easy choice. Right now, I'm thinking Seton Hall unless Northeastern, Bklyn, or American comes through. I'm pumped about Seton Hall. What about you? Are you thinking Suffolk or NELS? You should totally insist on an interview at Loyola - I'm trying that tactic at Brooklyn! GOOD LUCK. hope that was informative...

That's a great question - they say until the first day of classes (May 15). Yikes. I can't imagine the shuffling I would have to do if they offer me a spot. Oh well...it continues to get exciting. Btw, I haven't heard back from Bklyn. Any news from Loyola? Is that your first choice if you get off the WL?

I'm sorry about BLS. No worries though - you're not missing out on much. Yeah, it's their loss anyway!
