the last school to respond is the first one to begin. that kind of brilliant logic gets you a 151 on the LSAT.

NORTHEASTERN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! coming through in the clutch (notified by email).

4/11/06 I am attending Northeastern Law School next fall. I visited this past weekend and was really impressed. It was a tough choice (Seton Hall has been so wonderful), but I think it's the right decision for me. I have filled in a couple more details about my apps now that this brutal process is over (did anyone else feel like it took FOREVER?). Also, I am withdrawing from everywhere except Brooklyn (it's my home court, so I want to keep it alive...at least for another month). Anyway, good luck to everyone! If you're going to NU - let me know!

4/30/06 - Withdrew from Brooklyn. done AND done.

3/15/06 REJECTED FROM FORDHAM!
5/25/06 WAITLISTED AT FORDHAM!

WHAT?!?! did this happen to anyone else?!?!

I agree the BC thing is totally weird, but oh well! Bigger and better things it is! Good luck on your cycle. I'll be rooting for you!

still debating on northeastern...the "no grading" policy is kinda a deterrent for me. by the end of this wk, i will have decided. i feel some sort of obligation to do an optional essay, but i think ive just gotten too lazy!

WHOA! Absolutely incredible! So happy for you! That school was a good choice for you as they take the higher score...CONGRATS on the acceptance and the quick turn around time!

brooklyn sent an email, and i got snail mail a few days later. in terms of where to go...i've really become attached to american, so if GMU lets me in i will have a dilemma . i don't think i'll be going to brooklyn or villanova...i'm a DC native and i'd like to stay here :) best of luck to you - i envy your ECs!

Yes, I'm a brooklyn boy. Not born and raised, but been living here (Carrol Gardens) 7 years now. Brooklyn's my top choice, too. They have a great LRAP, and obviously, ya can't beat the location. Best of luck getting in. I was sweating it with my dismal GPA.

Damn, I have to agree. I have 14 apps out since the middle of December. I've only heard back from one school, UoP, at least that was an accept. Hopefully I can assume this means they're actually reading and considering my app. Although my numbers aren't stellar, my background should help. Sorry to hear about your Hastings reject - Good luck with the rest.

Congrats on your acceptance. Please don't take offense to this, but your numbers are somewhat lower than the typical accepted applicant to the full time program. Are there any factors that you can think of that may have contributed to you being accepted? Thanks. Congrats again!

Thanks for the response. I wrote a continued letter of interest which I plan to send today...updating them on what i'm doing this semester and highlighting for them the specific reasons i want to attend their school. I got nice resume paper and stuff too so I think i'm going to send it via regular mail. But out of curiousity, when you sent emails who did you send them to? And congrats again!

sorry

I rather not give out my email address if you don't mind. Same reason I keep my numbers private...I've heard law school admissions people some times check out these sites...

Dozo sent me a letter in January I think saying we admire your application, but can't offer a spot at this time, yadda yadda...please let us know within 2 weeks of the letter date if you want to be added to the waitlist. I took the spot on the list but I think I am going to withdraw pretty soon...right now I am set on IU-bloominton unless I get in off the waitlist at Notre Dame. Where do you want to go? Thanks for the congrats, good luck to you too

Brooklyn

Good luck with your other options. I definitely think Seton Hall is a solid school, so you have a good one in the bag and should be excited. I'm pretty certain that I will be putting down a deposit at Suffolk sometime this week or next, but I'm still waiting to hear from them on finaid pkgs. Once I do, I'll withdraw from NESL and take myself off of Quinnipiac's waitlist. How often do you plan on contacting Brooklyn? I'm super excited about the shocking Loyola waitlist (considering how late I applied there), and would love to live in Chicago, even though it is a pretty regional school. Let me know how responsive Brooklyn seems to your interview tactics. I think I may try that at Loyola and Hofstra as well.. Good luck!!!

Sunday, January 15 2006 at 07:00 PM

good luck, but i gotta ask, how did you decide where to apply? did you just apply to every school that popped into your head? (not trying to be a dick, really) why not catholic? why not american p/t if you're willing to go p/t to brooklyn and cardozo?

Thanks for the congrats! You going PT or full time? Yes, part of it is because I'm from Jersey...much better commute for me, but part of it is also because I fell in love with Seton Hall when I went to visit. I liked St. John's, but didn't get the same feeling I did from Seton Hall. Seton Hall also has a really good program for the area of law in which I'm most interested. Talk to you soon! :)

nothing really from loyola yet. i'm still pushing for it though cause living in chicago would be awesome. but brooklyn is by far my top choice, yet the longer they hold on me, the less likely it'll be. i would just like some of these letters already so i can make decisions!

so it seems like schools weigh the lsat a lot more than what college you attended...which sucks...i share the same kinda situation...
