Why not UCLA?
Wednesday, July 27 2005 at 08:00 PM

We appear to be in the same range for consideration, and I noticed a comment you wrote elsewhere indicating your desire to get into Berkeley. I share that. I was pleased to get into UCLA, which is ranked only a bit below Berkely, but I notice you did not apply there. I'm curious about these things. Why Hastings and Southern Cal but not UCLA? Oh, and by the way, I sincerely wish you luck on Berkeley and your top choices. -Jeff

Did your MN acceptance come in the mail or one of those "We usually don't send decisions via email, but..." emails? Congrats on all your acceptances!

No UCLA

I really don't want to live in LA. The only reason I applied to USC is because they sent a fee waiver. But if it comes down to these, maybe it would have been wise to apply to UCLA.

thanks!

thanks for the teaching info! unfortunately i won't be going to the admitted students weekend, i actually just visited 2 weeks ago, and i can't afford to fly again. i really wish i could though, because when i visited it was the friday of a holiday weekend, and the law school and city where both a little dead, im hoping that's not usual. let me know how it goes!

Thanks

re: money

I didn't receive any money from MN yet, and I'm not sure about Fordham. I haven't even received paper mail from them, just an email saying I would receive more info soon.

i'm still not certain, but i'm leaning toward duke. if UCLA comes up with money i'll think about it, and if UVa accepts me, i'll definitely think about that as well
