Additional info & updates

12/09/10-- I received an early Christmas present today. I was admitted into the University of Georgia Law School, Class of 2014. As a UGA undergrad I am very excited about the opportunity to become a Double-Dawg and stay put in the "Classic City" of Athens for 3 more years. The school has been a great place to learn and as always Go Dawgs! Sic 'Em!

12/13/10-- I woke up to some good news. I was accepted to the University of Miami School of Law. Getting into Miami has been my goal since high school because their programs and faculty scholarship meet my needs and wants. Miami is beautiful place, I enjoy cheering for the Canes football team, and working hard to become fluent in Spanish. Considering those factors It'll be hard to turn them down. So far I have gotten into my two top schools and must choose one.

12/13/10-- So excited! Received a full-tuition scholarship to Michigan State Law School. I'm thrilled about my first full ride to a law school however I can't really picture myself living in the cold in East Lansing and but saying cheering on the Spartans and chanting Go Green is tempting. The hardest part about the law school application process is deciding on which school to attend. Only time will tell.

1/23/11-- It has been over a month since I received my last acceptance letter. My applications are currently under review at the other 7 schools I applied and hoping that I am admitted into law school at Emory. The waiting is no fun but gives me plenty of time to focus on graduation and enjoying my last semester of my undergraduate career. Time to relax and enjoy some NFL football both NFC and AFC Championships.

2/9/11-- Received a large acceptance package from Loyola Law School (Los Angeles). The package provided me with virtually everything I needed to know about what comes next and answered every question that I could think of. Loyola is located in the heart of Downtown Los Angeles a few blocks from the Staples Center, L.A. Live, and the financial district. The school has many perks and opportunities however these are less appealing when considering that L.A. County has one of the highest standards of living in the nation.

2/15/11-- Today I went on my first law school tour and sat in on a contracts class at the University of Georgia. The admission staff, professors, and students were very friendly all of which will be considered when I make my final decision in April. I'm excited to visit the other law schools that I've been accepted to.

2/23/11-- Graduation is less than 10 weeks away. Time flies. Like many others I am excited to attend law school in the fall and would like to wish everyone good luck as the application cycles come to an end. Thanks!!

3/3/11-- Attended UGA's Law Reception in Atlanta. Great alumni, staff, and students. WIll definitely be a double dog.

3/26/11-- Attended UGA Law open house. Faculty/staff and current students were friendly and have greatly influenced my decision for law school.

4/1/11-- Formally withdrew applications from 8 different law schools and have decided to become a double dawg and attend law school at the University of Georgia. Go Dawgs! Sic 'Em!!

Hey congrats on your cycle. You've got into some very good schools. Didn't want to send a couple of 'reach' apps out. Think you would have been surprised.

Thanks

Congrats on a great cycle so far!! Just a note, as someone who was born and raised in L.A.: There is a lot to do and see, but you will find the cost of living pretty high, and the area where Loyola is located isn't the greatest neighborhood.

I'm pretty sure...

I'm waiting to hear from UNC regarding scholarship information. We'll see... How about you?

Dear Anonymous, I am amazed at your lack of immaturity and your continued obsession with my profile and admission statuses. You should learn the values of both respect and class but until then enjoy hiding behind your computer and posting meaningless comments on my page. Sincerely, J.D. candidate 2014

Thank you very much for your kind words and good luck on the rest of your cycle! As for the Anon poster... you're likely correct. That kid has been busy tagging up so many URM profiles. He obviously has more free time than he can handle in a mature manner. ;)
