1/13/09 University of Richmond - Accepted! Phone call from Dean Rahman tonight. So excited! Admissions package came 1/15/09. Scholarship will be awarded in late March.

1/31/09 George Mason University - Waitlist letter in the mail, small envelope with return form.

2/9/09 Hofstra University - Large packet in the mail, $30,000 scholarship per year. Learned of acceptance early when I received an e-mail to admitted students encouraging me to apply for fellowship programs.

2/18/09: Catholic University - Accepted! E-mail today, indicating acceptance packet has been mailed. Large packet came 2/21/09 with admissions letter and scholarship award, $12,500 per year.

3/17/09: University of Richmond - E-mail notification of $12,000 per year scholarship award.

3/21/09: William & May - Rejection by US Mail. Was half expecting to make the waitlist, but W&M seems to be very GPA oriented. Oh well, I'm Richmond bound!

3/23/09: American - Waitlist by US Mail, return form included.

5/8/09: Brooklyn - E-mail from Admissions Dean saying a full-time seat had opened up and offering it to me (had previously been on the waitlist).

You ended up getting a scholly at Richmond, too!!! Yea! Congrats! I am visiting the school on Thursday -- depending on how my husband & I like the area, I might see you in the fall!

By the way, after our trip last Thursday, my hubby and I loved Richmond (both the city and the law school). We still have to wait on a few things before we figure out where in the heck we are moving this fall, but we definitely walked away thinking that we would be happy there!!

Yeah, it came down to those two schools. It really was a tough decision - I waited until the very last day, when my deposit was due at Wake. Richmond seemed awesome though, have fun!
