Fee Wavers
Friday, October 24 2008 at 08:00 PM

Hey, so I similar stats (besides the URM..). However, I'm wondering, how the heck did you manage to get fee wavers to all of those schools? Thanks!

Hey, thanks. I wish you the very best! You got a fee waiver from Columbia? I am jealous! I predict some T14 action in your future! I was the first to call it :)

Don't sell yourself short... they might! Keep me posted too; I want to hear your good news!

Congratulations on Emory! I think you totally broke their fabled 165 wall!

Congrats!! You have given me hope that a 164 like me can get in too. Any special softs or LR to speak of?

Yah they are my #1...Hopefully I will hear from them soon

So far, lol, so far! Advance congratulations on GULC :) I was first to call it!

Thursday, November 27 2008 at 07:00 PM

Let me just add that you might be bumped up to FT.

Dozo is on an unbelievable rankings tear. I think I heard someone say they are trying to put a spike through Fordham's heart and twist! If they gave you $$$$, would you go?

GTPT

Sounds like we went through the same process for Georgetown PT... I have my fingers crossed for you (and myself).

Just got WL'ed at GTown too... bummer for us both. Well, good luck on the rest of your cycle, I'm sure you'll get into plenty of other good schools.

Thursday, November 27 2008 at 07:00 PM

Just saw your WL at GULC. I have a feeling you'll be getting in a few months down the road :) They are harsh this year; you should've been straight in!

Thursday, November 27 2008 at 07:00 PM

eh, I need something to do with myself. I still hope to go this Fall, though! I got outright rejected from GULC PT, but I shall be very surprised if they don't take you. I'm thinking you should hear from Fordham soon, though, right?

Thursday, November 27 2008 at 07:00 PM

I still maintain that I'm going to be shocked, and will retire from the fortune telling business altogether, if you don't get both. :) Be sure to post in the TLS Fordham thread when you get your thick envelope!

Thanks! how long did it take for you to get your scholarship info/ be able to log into OPUS?

Thursday, November 27 2008 at 07:00 PM

I know exactly how you feel. Still, you have.... Cornell! Rock on.

Thursday, November 27 2008 at 07:00 PM

Congrats on BC! Anticlimactic after Cornell, but still an awesome school. My retake buddy would be jealous, as he's on the WL there and it's his first choice! Sucks about NYU, but you are probably a lock for Fordham.

Thursday, November 27 2008 at 07:00 PM

Here's the scoop on Fordham, according to someone even more neurotic than I am: apparently everyone who applied PT is now getting WL'd, and final decisions won't be made until April! My friend geoanthem says the program might be full! I am freaking out about this, since we should both be a lock. At least you have great acceptances to console yourself with! I'll have to be content with my non-LS miracle; a great new job, in this economy!

Thursday, November 27 2008 at 07:00 PM

I agree with you, the job market is freaking scary! At least you will be heading off somewhere kick ass this Fall! I feel so lucky right now, it's insane. Go get Columbia, lol. That would seriously be amazing.

Thursday, November 27 2008 at 07:00 PM

Saw your WL at Columbia... Wow! Pester them endlessly until they let you in! Very well done!

Thursday, November 27 2008 at 07:00 PM

Still studying, my old friend. I have a waitlist to get off! Plus, I'd like to see if I can qualify for Mensa. (Need that 95th percentile score!) I also badly want a NYC option, so I understand your pain. If you get Columbia, can I have your Cornell? :)
