Additional info & updates

Decided to start logging how my admissions cycle is going. I can't stop checking my application statuses and my email, voicemail, etc... maybe this will sorta calm me down. Good luck to all others on this site! I've enjoyed reading many of your profiles.

As of 11/29/08, accepted at Fordham and BU. I got an "application complete" notice from every other school, but no other word besides that.

12/2/08 Got an email from UT saying my application is being held for consideration with the general applicant pool. Damn! ED was worth a try. My girlfriend was happy though; she hates Texas.

12/5/08 Waitlisted at Duke for dual degree program. I expected a ding, so that's cool.

12/17/08 Accepted at USD via large envelope!

12/18/08 Accepted at Boston College via large envelope!

1/24/09 Accepted via small envelope at UC Hastings!

1/27/09 Invitation to interview with Georgetown. I'm not sure what that means, but at least I didn't get rejected thus far.

1/27/09 Accepted at GW via email! I told them I had a preference for part-time, but I think they might have accepted me full-time; the email did not specify.

1/30/09 Update: I was accepted to GW for the part-time evening division.

2/3/09 Had my interview with a Georgetown Alumnus. The interviewer was very nice and we had a good conversation. Hopefully it will result in an acceptance! Also got accepted to University of Washington, pending my dean's certification submission.

2/6/09 Status changed back to Complete at Georgetown.

2/10/09 Went to Decision at Georgetown... Major adrenaline coursing through my veins right now.

2/12/09 Preferred Waitlist at Georgetown.

2/20/09 Just got another email from UVA encouraging me to apply with a fee waiver. It is so obvious that they want me to apply just so they can reject me and improve their acceptance rate statistics... but it is free, and it's sort of hard to resist. So I applied there.

3/5/09 Waitlisted at Texas.

3/19/09 Waitlisted at USC.

3/20/09 Waitlisted at UVA.

3/22/09 Decided not to pursue the waitlist at USC. Also not going to send my dean's certification into UW, so I'm effectively withdrawing there too.

3/31/09 Sent in my first deposit to GW. I am still open to some of the schools that waitlisted me.

I know how you feel about constantly checking e-mail and application statuses. Good luck on the rest of your cycle, we have fairly similar numbers so it will be interesting to see how everything turns out!

Congrats!

Killer acceptances. I hope you continue to hear good news. On a personal note, I created this profile for the exact same reason. I was tired of checking me e-mail! Again, good luck and congratulations!

Did UCI send you an e-mail when your application went complete? And if so, do you mind sharing what it said? Thanks and good luck on your cycle!

Congrats On UW

It looks like you are the first person on LSN to get into UW. I'm really interested in going. When did you status checker say you had gone to decision?

Congrats

Congratulations on a lot of the acceptances. I obsessively check my email, online status checks, and snail mail. It's really sad but I keep waiting. I'm pretty sure I also got into UW which I would be pretty excited about.

I feel rather excited about the USC waitlist. How bout you? Funny, I was looking through the 4 that were waitlisted and 3 out of 4 of us are from CA; the other did not state.

Congrats on all your great acceptances! How long did it take between being accepted at USD and getting the scholarship offer?
