Good job on Harvard! You give me hope with my own numbers!

Congrats to my terrifyingly close twin! We'll probably end up being like floormates at Harvard or something equally bizarre.
Hey, congratulations on the acceptance! I have two questions for you though. It would be awesome if you could answer them. I got a W on my transcript (non-punitive, non GPA counting,) Did you have any Ws on your transcript, or do you know anybody that has one or more and will it affect my acceptance into Harvard, Yale, etc? (Considering I get a high GPA and a high LSAT? (E-mail me or leave a message with the answer in my profile) Also, if you dont mind, could you tell me how you prepared for the LSAT?
is your name deena? if so, we're name twins (tho i spell my name with an *i*). yah, worthless comment I know. :-) but the name is uncommon enough that i'm always excited when I meet other people with that name!
My first score was the lowest I ever got on any full test, practice or otherwise, so I really think I just got unlucky or maybe a little nervous on that day. I didn't try to explain the lower score per se on my apps, because 1) I didn't think I had any single, easy to point out reason for it and 2) One good piece of information that my pre-law advisor told me (among other not as useful tidbits) was "If you score a 178 or something, it will speak for itself." Now, I don't know how sincere this was supposed to be because he didn't seem to think I would improve that much, and I did miss the 178 cut-off by a point, but I accepted the logic and felt I'd be better off not to try to make some lame or unconvincing excuse up when my first score really wasn't THAT bad and my second one is good. Both times I took the LSAT I did some timed prep tests beforehand, although I kept a more regular practice schedule before the second test because I knew it was my last chance to nail it. Hope that helps.
to you too. You've got some awesome choices already and I'm sure many more to come. Any top choices so far? Are you going to the first Harvard admit day?
Deena ,you're good! congrats on your acceptances. Did your NYU acceptance come in a Manilla Envelope? I'm waiting for their response very impatiently. . .just thought Id share that with you.
Thanks Deens, you're a sweetie.
hey there, just a question: is the $$ from Columbia merit/need based? (I haven't rec'd my finaid package and im very curious!) thanks.
They called it a "scholarship" grant in the paperwork they sent, so I assume it's merit-based, though I did also apply for need-based aid.
Wow, we really are the same person. Good luck! Lets hope this Harvard call meant something...
