Thank you for all the encouragement along the way, Mrs. Malaprop :) And tres impressive LSAT, btw! Lsatsucks, sometimes I hate me too. Maybe we could start a club? You know, mobell, I'd really like to meet up with fellow Harvard 1L LSDers. I hope it wouldn't be too awkward? I just think it would be nice :)

Hey if you don't mind my asking, which program were you in at LSE? I just got accepted to the MsC in Law, Anthro, and Society. I'm seriously considering it, but I hate London weather... congrats on ALL the acceptances!!

Congrats

on your LSAT, I'm taking the LSAT over this fall and I'm wondering exactly how much time you spent studying for it and exactly how did you? Thanks.

A hearty congratulations to you! Your lsat score is inspiring. Did you visit every campus you applied to? Curious why no application to Yale, Stanford, or USC?

thank you!

Thanks, bigfoot :) I was pretty set on the east coast: my boyfriend is English and six hour flights are better than eleven hour flights, plus I just feel more at home there (weird, given that I'm from LA). I applied to Hastings as a back-up, and because it would be very inexpensive. Looking back, perhaps I should have tossed out a Stanford app and a Yale app, but to be honest, I didn't think I'd get in, and if I had, I don't think I would have gone (if I'd also gotten into Harvard). I'm interested in international law, and Columbia and Harvard both have great joint-degree programs with English universities. Plus I just love the Harvard area, and the environment is very important to me when I'm studying. And my two best friends are back in Boston, so we might live together! ...so that's a very long answer to a short question :)

oh

and I didn't visit everywhere - just Harvard in March. If I hadn't been accepted into Harvard, I probably would have been doing a tour around the country looking at all the law schools. :)

congrats again!

Thanks for the quick reply! I appreciate your honest comments. When I saw Hastings on the list but not Stanford, it made me wonder if there was a specific reason why applications werent sent to the other CA schools. The choices now make perfect sense based on whats happening in your life. Your candor is a big help to people like me who are just beginning the whole process and learning to choose good fit schools. Few people use LSN the way it was intended, sharing information to help others. Thanks again!

See you in the fall!

Congrats on a perfect record - I see nothing wrong with knowing what you want. Besides, can't go wrong with HLS. E-mail me if you want to chat- otherwise see you in September :)

nice meeting you

I'd love to email you, but you didn't leave an address! So I'll do my best here: To be honest, I think Harvard accepted me because it's where I went to college, and apparently they like to do that. The test score helped, but obviously my GPA wasn't anything too special. As for the other schools, I expressed interest in an addendum to my PS in a specific Columbia program, which I think might have helped me gain admission. My PS was primarily written about why I chose not to pursue acting, which may sound like a strange topic, but it was actually very relevant to why I decided to pursue a career that revolves aroun the intellect rather than emotional instincts. Or something like that. :) Anyway, I hope that helps, and if it doesn't, email me and I'll try to be more specific.

hi-- i'm currently a senior at UW and am absolutely law-bound regardless of my current gpa state. anyway, do you think you can email your resume? you included a resume in your applications for ls right? i'm just curious bc, other than the impressive numbers that you have, i'm sure there were other entities that compelled them to admit you. will you help me?
