enjoyyourself: I did not check my status checker since my acceptance. I just did now and it has the title of "Letter from Dean O'Brien" on the same date I received the award. Hopefully you have the same thing and it means the same thing. Congrats on your acceptance and Good luck!
Hey. I'm from Albany too and my first choice is Albany Law. I'm surprised they accepted you on a Saturday if that's correct. Is that your first choice? Good luck with the rest of your cycle.
anonymous--In my personal statement I mainly spoke about overcoming adversity and how it led to me wanting to become an attorney. I can give you more details if you give me your email address :). I just don't want to post it here for everyone to see.
harmonizea-- I was surprised to get my acceptance letter on a Saturday... My status checker said that a decision had been made and sent to me on a friday, so it took them a little over a week for me to received it. Albany is not my #1 only because they do not have an immigration clinic, which is the area of law I am interested in, but if I receive some scholarship money it will def. make it a contender. Right now I am debating between Cardozo and New England, unless I get off the waitlist at GW. I will start withdrawing from schools soon... Good luck in your cycle!
My status changed from "application being reviewed" to "file is before admissions committee". I know I'm being impatient but how long did you know after status changed to file before admissions committee. I hope they let me know this month.
I wouldn't make much of that... I do not really remember when my status changed between those too. I think mine stayed at "Application being reviewed" the whole time and just switched to "decision has been rendered." You should expect a 5-7 week wait from the time your application has been declared "complete." It took them 5 and a half weeks to give me a decision. So if it has been a month already then you should receive something soon. Trust me... this waiting has been killing me too!
Hey. I just got accepted to Albany Law. Did they send you an email inviting you to Accepted Students Open house? If so, when did you receive yours after "decision has been rendered"?

Congratulations on your decision!!! You've really helped me out with all my questions with Albany Law. I received my application the exact time frame you did. Albany is saying that they have to wait to see how many people withdraw or fail to meet the deadline before they let me know about scholarships. I'm a little nervous about putting my deposit down before knowing I will receive a scholarship but I'm happy that they accepted me so I'm praying. But Congratulations are in order...and have a great 3 years at Cardozo!!!
I have similar scores 153 and 3.7 also male Latino. You mention that you had a strong PS, can I ask the major premise?
When your scholarship letter came did you happen to notice if your status checker updated under the mailings section? Ie did it say anything about a letter being sent from the dean?
