Extra Curricular Information

i thought i had some decent extras...but, looking at this site has made me realize that most of my extras are pretty standard stuff:
officer in frat...student govt...officer in a couple clubs...inter-collegiate basketball (injured after 1 yr)...honor societies...summa cum...some philanthropy stuff...been out of college a few years...a lot of unusual work experience...

Additional info & updates

well...after a 9 for 9 start, the situation has worsened as of late...two of my last three decisions have been "wait list"...from what ive seen on this site, i shoulda been an auto-admit at nyu...nothing spells questionable soft factors like no auto-admit and high wait list numbers...but then, i knew my softs werent stellar...

planning on withdrawing from g-town out of spite...they emailed me...asked me to write a bit for a "dean's scholarship"...i wrote it...ok, i didnt put a huge amt of effort in...prob didnt help my cause...nevertheless, they then turned me down the next week...it might be somewhat childish to w/d because of this...but, i didnt particularly want to go there anyway...in fact, app waiver was the only reason i apped...and man, they got my hopes up...then crushed them...

3/7...nu just threw me a huge bone...out of the blue...opened the attachment to the email...SHOCKER...makes it pretty hard to go anywhere similar without similar $...hmmmm...

anyway, ill be visiting michigan next week (march 9-11)...yeah, who am i to complain about w/l decisions?...i mean MICHIGAN!...penn at the end of the month (23-25)...PENN!...hopefully ill see some fellow lsn folks there...best of luck to all

3/14...just heard from cornell...in via premail...snail mail to come...took them long enough....id been complete since the beginning of dec...who do these people think they are?

3/20...mail from uva...scholarship...tempting...the plot thickens

4/10...ok, im decided...thank god...going to upenn...

6/4...ok, im still decided...but, been thinking, still waiting for columbia's reserve decision...an accept decision would make for a difficult choice...

Nice acceptances! What are you leaning toward?

At this point I think it would be impossible for me to turn down the $$$ that NWU is throwing my way. It's not worth $100k+ of debt to go to a school that's slightly higher in the rankings. I know they say money shouldn't determine where you end up... but it will, at least for me.

Congrats

..on the wigmore! It is a staggering amount of money to think about. This decision is going to be much harder than I anticipated... I probably saw you at the Mich weekend. What did you think?

Any idea where you're leaning at this point?

Good luck on getting into NYU. That's where I'm leaning right now, although a phone call from Boston could change that pretty quickly.

penn?

I'm thinking about turning down my Wigmore for Penn... what made you decide that way? I'm so befuddled at this point that I'm considering flipping a coin...

Firstly, Withdraw From NYU and Columbia

Second, why Penn over NYU? Third, please Withdraw from NYU and Columbia, again. I'm still hoping I get off the waitlist and I don't like unecessary competition. Thanks! Goodluck at Penn!! . . . May see you there

You have an "A" next to Penn. Figured your decision was a done deal which is why i suggested a withdrawal. I guess you're still hoping. Well, Goodluck to you...We shall see very soon what the ultimate outcome will be.

PENN!!
