Personal statement addressed my experiences as a gay mexican american and how i plan to apply them to the study of law.

Dont have any expectations. Obviously I would love to get into the better schools im applying to, but dont want to get my hopes up too high. Just looking foward to getting the application process over with, been a bit stressful on top of my engineering exams....

1/11 - FSU: regular sized cream envelope with "congratulations" written on the out side.

1/14 - UF: Large brown envelope (wonder why i didnt get the envelope with the scales on it...).

2/3 - Wake: Large white envelope with striped green border.

2/7 - GW: E-mail, more materials to come once dean signs my admission letter.

2/13 - Michigan: Small white envelope. First rejection, but i expected this. I would of froze my ass of in ann arbor anyways (gotta make myself feel better somehow ;-) ).

2/16 - Emory: Large white envelope. Scholarship info. to come at a later date. Really excited about this one, love the school and the city, hope I get a good scholarship offer,

2/21 - GW: Received GW acceptance letter, supposedly signed by the dean of the school, but i dont believe it, def was girls handwriting.

3/7 - BC: Well they took approx three months to tell me this, thanks, but no thanks. This really shakes my confidence for the other two, I thought I had a decent chance of being accepted, oh well, I want to go to Emory anyways.

3/19 - Vandy & WUSTL: came back from spring break to find 2 waitlist notifications. Didnt bother sending the letters of intent, im pretty sure i am going to emory ... fingers crossed on scholarship....

3/25 - Emory: got my scholarship offer today ... (drum roll please) ... $20,000/year!!!! Im so going to emory it isnt even funny. What a relief, this has been the most stressful process in my life and it could have not ended better, best of luck to everyone else!

IP/patent law would make sense. But it's up to you and you don't need to make a decision now. You may find you like something else better.

you got plenty of time to apply to some higher ranking schools if there are any you like. don't sell yourself short. hell, ask them for a fee waiver and it won't cost a thing.

Congratulations on all your acceptances! With all your choices, have you ruled out Florida? If so, if you would consider letting them know by withdrawing, I would be very grateful! My fianc is on the waitlist there and it is his first choice.

Congrats

Congrats on your acceptances. May I ask, what tools did you use to prepare for the LSAT?
