Additional info & updates

4-17 - John Marshall bumped my scholarship up. Is it worth the extra money to go to the school across the street (literally)? Hmmm. Nope.

4/15 - I decided to send my deposit into DePaul but wait on the rest of the schools that I'm waitlisted at.

4/01 - How did I get waitlisted at Iowa....? I thought that was a definite rejection.

1/16 - Rejection at ND and U of IL. Two in one day! Ouch! It was a long shot but I'm happy staying in Chicago.

12/15 - Valparaiso - Large envelope... $75,000 scholarship, yet still not enough to get me to go to Valpo.

12/11 - DePaul - Large white envelope with "Welcome to Depaul" on outside

12/6 - John Marshall - Small white envelope

wow - depaul ought to be tough given everyone's going to be trying to keep their scholarships. Must be a great alumi network. Congrats. re Valpo - I've always curious about that school. They are 4th tier (right?) but the lsac data search gives me a 25% chance of getting in... they must value grades way more heavily. The uni has a very good rep - and that's a huge scholarship... can't say I've met any attys from there though. Good luck.

trying to decide between loyola/depaul/kent is gonna be tough. Interested in what you've heard -- it seems to me that sometimes students all very full of advice but don't know too much -- we both work at large firms, so at least that's an in.

Did your DePaul scholarship info come with your acceptance folder? I'm just wondering if I still have a chance at some $$. It would make the idea of moving to Chicago easier.
