Extra Curricular Information

Scholarships are 3 year totals

the usual stuff, nothing spectacular or awful

01-18-Chiashu Numbers- See how true they are hopefully starting next week

Texas-12%
American-33%
Alabama-59%
Tulane-75%
Mississippi-75%
LSU-95%
Loyola-97%
Seton Hall-97%
Hofstra-99%
Samford-99.7%
MC-99.999%

Unused fee waivers-Lewis & Clark, Depaul, Golden Gate, Northern Kentucky, Washburn, Drexel, Florida Coastal, Quinnipiac, Ave Marie, Texas Southern, Regent, St. Thomas, Miami, Detroit Mercy, Western New England

I wish people could trade fee waivers like baseball cards, that would make this process a whole lot cooler.

Turns out Chiashu is right, got no surprises, Alabama percentage should have been lower because their numbers have really increased the last couple of years.

The only thing I would do different is apply to many more reaches and not too so many schools I would not attend, but I got nervous and decided not to.

Additional info & updates

12/21-Finishing up apps today

01/08-My final rec got in today so I can finish everywhere else this week.

01/10-Finally figured out everywhere I am applying, ten schools seems like a lot and is expensive, but hey you only get to do it once and I would like options.

01/23-I hate waiting, this sucks, I would like to hear back from someone even if it is a rejection. It seems like the longer I wait the less sure I become about being able to get in anywhere.

01/23-I applied to Ole Miss and LSU the same day, yet I am complete at Ole Miss and LSU still has not requested my law school report, and has not responded to my emails, or answered my phone calls, thus LSU is on my bad list right now.

01/24-I am going to law school, hooray, Samford mailed acceptance to my parents house, weird because I was going to call them today to ask if I was even complete yet. First one down hopefully many more like this one. Just got another acceptance, this has been a good Friday, I am glad I now have options.

01/28-LSU is pretty much out, they are the most unorganized, lazy, people on the face of the earth, who cant get anything done, and constantly keep you on hold for long periods of time just to transfer to another person who does not know what they are talking about.

01/30-MC offers full scholarship, I can go to law school for free if I want now which is always a good option to have.

01/31-Applied to Texas today for no good reason other than I wanted to apply to one school that was an extreme reach, I am about 99.99998% sure I am going to get rejected immediately.

01/31-Accepted at Ole Miss, was unsure about getting in there for some reason, oh well, I did.

02/01-In at Loyola with scholarship, dont know how much yet though.

02/04-In at Hofstra with a t-shirt, this is nice, but the longer that Tulane takes the less I think my chances are, oh well nothing I can do.

02/11-Crickets!!!! I hate waiting for this, it is nerve wracking not knowing what you are going to do next year. Ole Miss packet got lost in the mail, that sucks don't know whether I got a scholarship or not, to chicken to ask, afraid of awkardness when the lady says, no sir we did not deem you acceptable of a scholarship.

02/12-To dreaded committee at Tulane, crossing my fingers.

02/12-In at Tulane WITH MONEY, what were they thinking, hopefully it will be more than 500 dollars. Desicions suck ass, Ole Miss almost free, or Tulane assloads of debt.

02/16-15K a year at Tulane, this is probably where I will go, I might try to negotiate a bigger scholarship, anyone think this is a good idea or bad idea, feel free to tell me I am a tard or smart.

02/19/08-Accepted at LSU, needless to say not going there.

02/25/08-Rejected at American (ouch), kind of baffled, and first rejection hurts, but I was not going to go there anyways, probably means bad things for the rest of my cycle.

03-03-08-Accepted at Seton Hall with 10k per year, more than likely going to Tulane unless something drastic happens, gonna starting withdrawing from places today.

03-15-08-Rejected at Alabama and Texas on same day, that sucks, oh well knew I was not going to get into Texas and was not going to Alabama, so last three responses were all rejections, yikes, down to Ole Miss and Tulane, probably Tulane unless the debt continues to scare me to death...

03-30-08-My cycle is over and I am extremely happy with the results I am about 95% sure I will be headed to Tulane unless something drastic happens then I will end up at Ole Miss, doubtful.. good luck to everyone else

4-15-08-Officially attending Tulane and am extremely happy about it, if I could redo my cycle I would only apply to schools which I would actually attend and not waste my time on others, oh well I am happy

PS-Don't apply to American, they don't give out hardly any scholarship money and are the third school in DC (fourth if you include George Mason)

I was In Review on 2/8 and decision on 2/11. See that you've already been accepted too by the time I saw your comment and responded... Congrats!

Congrats on your Tulane acceptance. I'll probably end up there as well, but without any money it is a pretty tough choice. Are your numbers real or fudged some? Thanks a lot.
