Mercer ltr came yesterday in a standard white envelope. A brief ltr enclosed stating that to keep the student/faculty low, they can only accept a limited number. however they stated that their waitlist is not "ranked" and should room become available, i would be notified. additionally, they require that you reply and tell them that you wish to be on the list.

I haven't spoken with anyone at Samford admissions other than to confirm receipt of my application; but if you look at those w/ the same admissions index, quite a few have been admitted and none rejected. As far as the school quality etc., I work under an atty. who attended Samford, and he speaks highly of their program.-fjb

Have you talked to anyone about mercer's waitlist? or do you have any additional info?\
I spoke w/ my pre-law advisor and he indicated that if it were Mercer that I really wanted, he could probably talk to them and get the waitlist converted to an acceptance. However, I'm very excited about my Stetson acceptance so I don't think that I'm going to worry too much about Mercer's waitlist.
Wow i'm really surprised you were waitlisted at Mercer. We have similar numbers. When did you apply?
I don't remember the exact date, but it was sometime in December. Yeah, I also figured that I'd get in. But really, Mercer was probably #4 or 5 on my list; mostly b/c I would prefer to stay in Florida.
What info did mercer give you with the waitlist and how did it come etc.?
