1/6/09 - Accepted at UGA with small envelope

2/5/09 - Accepted at Emory with big envelope

2/12/09 - Accepted at UF with big envelope, looks like they're starting to come in now!!

2/13/09 - Accepted to GWU via email, acceptance package via mail to follow soon

2/18/09 - Phone call from BU saying I was accepted. I wasn't expecting any phone calls so that was cool!

2/23/09 - Received small envelope from UCLA. I thought it would be a rejection, but was actually waitlisted. Hopefully people will withdraw soon so I can know for sure. Also today, I received the acceptance envelope from BU after getting the phone call last week.

2/25/09 - Phone call from UT Austin saying I was accepted! I wasn't expecting this one since I heard they favor in-state applicants and keep an entering class of 60-40 in-state to out-of-state ratio. She said the acceptance letter was mailed yesterday so I should have it by the end of the week.

2/27/09 - Small envelope from Vanderbilt saying I was waitlisted. Guess this is better than being rejected, but I'd like to know!

3/3/09 - Received an email at 10 pm tonight saying that I was waitlisted at UVA. Apparently they overfilled their entering class last year and are capping this year's class to make up for it. Also, apparently out-of-state applications are rising. We'll see...

3/23/09 - It's been a while since I've heard anything and I'm still waiting on 3 schools! I got rejected from Duke today -- it's sad because it's my first rejection and I would've liked to have gone there, but knew this would probably be the case. Hopefully I hear from the last few in the next couple days!

4/7/09 - Waitlisted at University of Minnesota and Wash U. It's crazy that I'm just now hearing, but at least it's something! I'm still waiting on a decision from Northwestern... Seems like an unexpected number of waitlists this year from what I've witnessed and what my friends are going through. I guess people applied really early this year and spots have been filled. I hope it's not only bad news from here on out!
