Additional info & updates

3/31. So since it is almost April I just decided to post on here. These last five days have felt like 5 months! anyone with me on this?? Anyway, good luck to all those that are still waiting to hear back :).

3/13 Rejection letter from FSU. I really hoped they had accepted me but their decision came rather quickly.

A lot has changed bc this cycle has been so long and I am trying to remain calm. Maybe law school really isn't for me :(.

I might take a few years off, pursue my masters, rape the LSAT and then become the badass lawyer I know I will be.

Geez for standardized tests.

GOOD LUCK everyone

Nicely done on Creighton! I am very proud.

Good to hear from you.

I have not heard anything from Houston. I feel like my app has fallen in the dark abyss. Do you think that we have a chance at Houston and South Carolina? We will see what happens. We will stay in touch. Again, great job on a solid tier 3. You and I have defied the odds. I love it!

hi there.

Houston...denial. I am shocked. Ah well..We will see what happens with other schools.

Yep, I am a Gator! Did you have any questions about UF or anything? I see that you are still waiting to hear from them, just like me.

I bleed orange and blue too. My father is a Gator alum, so I've been raised my whole life as a Gator. And thanks for the GL. I don't think I am going to get into UF, especially since they are supposedly done offering acceptances this cycle. Only waitlists and rejections remain. I am definitely going to need all the luck I can get. Good luck with UF and South Carolina as well! I will keep an eye on the rest of your cycle!

Hey sorry to hear about Florida. I was pissed at first but this year is very unique in the fact that so many more people are applying to grad school. I also went there for undergrad so its ok to change it up. My friend was hispanic with a 3.6 and 158 and didnt even get waitlisted so it must be ridiculously competitive this year. As for Pitt no i want to stay in state and am probably going to withdraw in the next few days...I am now really hoping on FSU or a scholarship from Stetson..Good luck to you

thanks!!!!

Hey, thanks for the congrats...I know what you mean about the lsat....damn standardized tests!!!! Anyway, put in my seat deposit at western new england...if albany or buffalo or samford accept from the waitlist i might change my mind. counting on kicking ass my first year and applying to a few ivies for a transfer. we'll see :) good luck!

Hey, I just had to take statements from clients...sometimes in the jail, sometimes in the office... Then, I'd type up a brief to give to the attorneys. I was basically the first person on the defendant's side that he got to talk to. I enjoyed it. It was interesting.

hey! Congrats on your acceptances so far...What are you leaning towards? We have similar numbers, so I do not think it will hurt to apply to Hofstra...the app is free and you really have nothing to lose. I recently visited and loved it! Good luck with all the rest of your applications!

I understand your pain.. try being deffered not once but twice.. leave it to Cornelll.. and then you ask yourself, is it worth it? YES.. of course! Good luck with the rest of the cycle.

Stetson
Sunday, November 09 2008 at 07:00 PM

Hello :) Well, Stetson was my first choice for a couple of reasons. They are a ranked school (even though they are ranked 100, at least its still a ranking). It is only 2 hours from home for me, and I somewhat know the area. I also know a faculty member and have heard nothing but great things. It is also supposed to be a beautiful school. I was very upset to be rejected, but also not completely surprised. Good luck with the rest of your cycle. What is your first choice?

Friday, December 19 2008 at 07:00 PM

Thank you! It's definitely a frustrating process. But I'm trying not to lose all hope just yet!

Thanks

well, I wouldn't say that I was "awesome", but it is certainly awesome to have had such a wonderful cycle, it couldn't have gone any better. So, congrats to you on your victories... Creighton is an excellent school, are you considering it?

I applied to most of the schools between Jan-April, if you have any other questions let me know

Thank you

I am surprised about USC's decision. How did you hear?

first choice
Wednesday, April 09 2008 at 08:00 PM

fsu was my first choice and i'm not even going to wait on miami, but i'm going to barry next year.

Good to hear from you
Monday, December 01 2008 at 07:00 PM

Yes, I sent the LOCI already. My LOCI was not lengthy. I mentioned my strong interest in attending. We will see what happens. I keep waiting by the mailbox every day. Ahhh..the stress.

Friday, June 13 2008 at 08:00 PM

Thank you for the kind words. I actually got accepted yesterday to IU-Indy, but I have yet to decide whether I am going to put a deposit down. I'm really not all that excited about IU-Indy, but I'm going to try to get an extension on my deposit deadline so I can go visit the school and maybe that will help me make my decision. I'm still holding out hope for Santa Clara though! Which school are you currently leaning towards? Good luck with the final two schools you are waiting to hear from!

Decision?
Monday, January 12 2009 at 07:00 PM

Have you decided where you're going yet?

Transfer?
Monday, January 12 2009 at 07:00 PM

I have thought of transferring. But after talking to some of my classmates it seems like my whole school will try to transfer to ASU, so it may be a long shot for me. And I'm really not ready to move out of state, but maybe things will be different next year? Are you planning on transferring?

Grad School and such
Friday, June 13 2008 at 08:00 PM

I am planning on getting a Masters in Sports Management. I really hope to break into sports law once I eventually go to law school, and the majority of sports management programs require that you intern somewhere to graduate, which would help me make connections in the sports world, which is half the battle to break into sports law. As for the website, I've seen it before, and if I don't go to law school this fall, I plan on retaking and hopefully raising my score a few points. I feel like I owe it to myself to try and raise my score one last time after working so hard over the last three years. I feel like if I can raise my score to at least a 159, I will have so many more options.

Hi there....
Monday, December 01 2008 at 07:00 PM

Thank you for your kind comment. How have you been? Did you send your deposit to Creighton? Creighton is a solid tier 3 school. Creighton provides a wonderful Jesuit education. Again, nicely done. Look forward to hearing from you.
