Hofstra 41%

Additional info & updates

I received a late acceptance from Cincinnati today. I actually wanted to go there but its too late now

Wait-listed at FSU today. Im a little pissed about this one. Im above their LSAT median, I have a degree in a hard science and a Masters in a hard science but I am wait-listed. Im talking to people who are getting in with lower LSAT scores and majors that are a joke. 04/25/11

Depaul made a decision yesterday 12/02/10. I should be receiving the email in the next couple of days. Im worried that I got rejected/wait-listed but we will see

I got into DePaul which takes some stress off. Last year I was applying to medical school before I had a change of heart. So, I got use to rejection. Im gonna wait and see where else I get into and how much money I get. LSP had me at 48%. 12/03/10

Hofstra status changed to file pending committee review 12/06/10/. Whatever that means

Got accepted to Denver today via email with a 20,000 a year scholly

Today is my bday and I just got into American. 12/11/10

Just go into Hofstra via status checker. Im considering applying t Chicago Kent but not sure 12/14/10

Rejected from George Mason today. It sucks but oh well. 12/16/10

Accepted at Marquette. 12/16/10

Got rejected from Fordham, even though I didn't plan on attending this is not the way I wanted to start the new year. 01/03/11

Yesterday(12/17/10) Hofstra updated my status saying I will be receiving a scholarship but it doesn't say how much

Hofstra gave me 15K per year if I stay in the top 40% of the class. Thats really not enough. 12/28/10

Rejected from W and L today. The new has sucked so far. 01/06/11

How the heck did I get wait-listed at Seton Hall. I was above their range and they wouldn't stop sending me crap about applying. 01/07/11

Got into UK today. Pretty stoked about that one. 01/10/11

accepted to Pitt today. Honestly UK is kind of leading the way right now 01/18/10

rejected from GW today. Oh well 01/28/11

Got the acceptance letter from Santa Clara today with a 15K/year scholly. Also received 20k/year at Chicago Kent

I was put on hold at FSU. Not sure what that means but I hope to get in. 2/25/11

Last night I received a letter from Kentucky awarding me state rates which equal about 12,500 a year in scholly. This puts UK near my top 02/28/11

3/25/11 Rejected from UF. That stung, I figured because I majored in a selective hard science field and received a masters in another that they would at least wait-list me. Oh well. Hopefully FSU will come through

I really don't know if I stand a shot at any of these schools. Id appreciate it if someone could let me know what they think

Thanks for the well wishes on the Mizzou acceptance and congrats on getting into DePaul! I know it feels great to get into that first school. I think you will get into most of the schools you applied to. You have an excellent LSAT. I think people will recognize Bioengineering is a hard degree and it will differentiate you from the rest of us Business and Political Science Majors. Is your GPA a 3.0 flat? That will make it tough for some schools that really care about their median stats. Columbia, Emory & Fordham will be long shots. Florida, Kentucky, Iowa & William and Mary will be tough as well, but certainly possible. I think you have a better than average chance at all the rest. http://www.top-law-schools.com/rankings.html I use this website to give me an idea of where my lsat and gpa match up. They also have message boards where you can find good info on particular schools. Good luck to you and I will try to check up on your profile. Go Gators! (I am from Jacksonville)

If I had to choose between my acceptances so far, I'd probably be leaning towards Mizzou. Cheapest tuition by far, low COL, and decent job prospects in St Louis and KC. Scholarship money at Denver or SC would make that decision a little more difficult. Overall, my "big three" schools are Tennessee, Ole Miss, and Memphis in that order. Realistically, I think I'll end up at Ole Miss unless Tennessee or another reach comes through. What about you? I bet that 20K at Denver is looking pretty nice.

Congrats!

Hey, congrats on your cycle so far! Are you leaning towards UK?

Tuesday, September 14 2010 at 08:00 PM

If I get into Tennessee (unlikely), then I'll be heading to Knoxville, but I'm very excited about UK if that doesn't work out. I've spent some time in Lexington and I love the area. I'll have to see how the rest of my cycle pans out, but at the moment, I'm planning on UK.

Nice Acceptances

We have a similar stats, UG school, and apps out. Just wanted to say good luck on the rest of your cycle and Awesome scholly from Santa Clara! $ like that would definitely influence my decision if I were going into IP Law. What's your first pick? Again, Congrats and good luck!

I can't take the waiting game anymore! I haven't read it, but the prospective newsletter that UF sends out supposedly states that decisions will continue until the end of April. Yeah, I'm torn right not between what school's my top choice to date. I like ASU, but I'd need a larger scholly from them. Kentucky and UTK are both equally likable, in my opinion. What made you decide on Kentucky?

Saturday, September 15 2007 at 08:00 PM

I think UF likes knowing that they put a lot of prospective students in this predicament. Maybe it boosts their ego or something. Whatever it is, I'm over it! lol.

Tuesday, September 14 2010 at 08:00 PM

Thanks! I've pretty much decided on FSU. I just got off the hold yesterday, so you definitely have a chance. I sent a LOCI/update letter a couple of days after I got the hold. Is UF your #1?

Tuesday, September 14 2010 at 08:00 PM

The only explanation for me getting in would be that FSU takes accepts your degree granting GPA if it's higher than your LSDAS. It definitely seems like you have a good shot.

FSU LOCI
Tuesday, September 14 2010 at 08:00 PM

Sorry about to hear about UF, man. I'll message you about the FSU LOCI.

"Scholarship"
Tuesday, September 14 2010 at 08:00 PM

lol quite possibly the smallest scholarship in the history of law school admissions
