Additional info & updates

I have an MPA (like an MBA but for the government and non-profits) from OSU as well. I am also older--27, and from rural Ohio. I'm hoping these things will make up for my grade point average.

I'm interested in International Human Rights Law and would like to work for an NGO or non-profit, though I would consider the government as well.

So, did anyone else NOT get an acceptance letter from Colorado, but then get some sort of e-mail or other communication about parking or housing that implied you were accepted? I've heard that mine was not a unique experience.

If you're wondering about my LSAT, I took a course unique to Boston and NYC called Testwell (www.testwell.com). I *highly* recommend it to anyone in the area, or with the ability to be in the area for a quarter/the summer.

I guess I'm leaning towards Texas.... I LOVED Illinois, but I'm not sure I could live in Urbana-Champaign for three years, even with a practically full ride. I liked Wisconsin too, but I don't think they're giving me any money. I did NOT like Minnesota, the students did not seem friendly, and the environment was just blah. I was really disappointed because I liked the city, etc. (plus they keep throwing money at me). I'm not basing my decision completely on any one thing but my concerns are: culture of the school, reputation of the school, the city I'd have to live in and the cost. I could never get residency in Minnesota or Wisconsin, but I could in Texas or Illinois...
